nope not 22"s its damn near 24" but not enough to get a tyre on , its not 24" 1 3/8 either single speed , the rear brake mounts under the chainstays If you know bike tyre sizes, you'll know how bizzare they are. 24*1 3/8 translates into 24 inches diameter MINUS 1 3/8 inches. Therefore 24*1 3/8 and 24*1.75 will be for completely different diameter wheels. Took me ages to get my head around that!

ive just had an idea for a bike, can u guys remeber those wheel barrows with the ball shapped front wheel, like a big yellow plastic ball,
well, i thought that using one of those as a front wheel would be seriously cool, no idea what would be involved and u wouldnt be able to use a front brake but never mind

Ive got a lester rear wheel. Got it for £1 at a boot sale. But havent finished stripping the manky paint off it. Wheels and tyres are often marked with an ERTO size. This means the bigger number is the diameter of the tyre seating. A 20" BMX wheel is 406mm. A shopper bike narrow wheel is 451mm. But is marked as 20X 1 3/8" Cant remember all the sizes. Maybe look at Sheldon Browns site. Its got lots of info
