I'm fairly new to collecting 1/43rd scale cars. I was bought a Corgi BTCC cavalier (always been a big John Cleland fan) the Christmas before last and this year added McRae liveried ph1 309 and Richard Burns 309 gti16.
I think my next purchase will be an Ecurie Ecosse BTCC cavalier. I've also got my eye on Rover vitesse's in BSCC, DTM, ETC & BTCC flavours!
My uncle has been collecting 1/43 models for years and has hundreds. We always used to get him in trouble when when returning from race meetings and announcing to my auntie that he had purchased another one of the "bloody little cars" - her words!

That van looks the business. Helped my brother on his E36 today and as I was leaving he asked if I'd like to rebuild his Gemballa Avalanche. Um, yes! These were made by Revel in two colors (and two colors convertible) and sold assembled. He has some not perfect loose spares so I'll dig in, this won't be super detailed just nice enough to go on the display with the others fresh out of the box. He purchased some of the aftermarket wheels; Veilside Andrews that he thought would look good and while they aren't my style it's his car. I'll have to make brakes since they are going to show here which it didn't previously. I drilled the rivets and hinges so that they can be threaded later and disassembled the pieces. Started stripping to find that one of my cans was empty and the other was nearly so. So that's where we set. I did start mocking up the slight lowering of the chassis as well, I'll picture that later My daughter thinks it should be very pink which it may well be, I'll hit up the hardware store tomorrow after church and see what colors speak to me.

Got it all stripped, looked good silver-ish It ended up..., not pink. And I assembled it with BBS RS because they looked right. I think some TE37 would be the ticket but...

Well hello there! Guess it's at least 2 years since I posted anything in here.... And so, The Photobucket page went through some update and PB started charging ridiculous sums for using their services, so I deleted my PB account. All my old pics are gone I'm afraid.... However, I still do build plastic model kits in 1/25 scale! And, right now I'm doing a ESCI Renault 5. It's a rallye-car edition which I'm converting to street use! Some pics: More pics of my old builds will also follow, stay tuned!
