hi I'm a first timer on here so id thought id show u my ongoing project its a volvo 340 GL or as my mates have now named it the GAYLORD!!!! anyways the plans r to put a renualt 16v lump on bike carbs when money allows!    so far all ive done is weld the diff and lower it about 2" so ill get some new pics up when I can thanks for veiwing |

2" is a start... looks like you need about 6 though!  Is it a 1.7 carb? |

Needs dropping another 4" at least or bigger tyres but other than thats its cool imo.

Wheels are too small  Afraid the minilite look is getting outplayed now. Should go well on the carbs though! ;D Also, as measured by a friend the bonnet lifted up at the rear does barely anything for internal bay temperatures. Just means random people come over and tell you your bonnet is open  |

Wheels are too small Wheels aren't too small, the car is too tall. It begs for lowering, but this has the potential to be one bad-ass 340  |

I think it looks great! Very scalextric like.

I think its bob-on too! Wheels look great, I love to see folk biggin' up these volvo 300's, they are ace. don't see why its a gaylord either, i reckon it should boot your mates in the cludge, then we'd see who is the real gaylord.

its called the GAYLORD as its a GL and yeah its a 17 carb but as i say i want a 16 valve lump for more power for drifting and as i say its now lowered pictures on here soon!!! also i painted the wheels myself in belive it or not DULUX mixed with petrol.......a banger boys tric!!!

I'm after anything aslong as it able to rev and strong..........ish all i need is the complete block don't need the ecu just as long as its got the inlet and exhaust manifolds

quick update all just some new pic's of the car now lowered and a few council mods done like remove the spoiler and pushed the arches out to stop them rubbing!!!!  its not pretty but it works   the tailgate now holds its self up were as befor it never..........stupid spolier |
