any plans to fit any kind of subframe to tighten up the suspension underneath? seen a few frames £300-500 ish but its daft money for a old polo...look like you could prob fab one up though lol got the upper strutbrace plus a lower one but the lower one won't fit due to it being so low so i will have to look into other methods of stiffening it up as i think it will benefit from it in that department

great work, I need to do the same to my 85 passat, as it has simmilar front shocks. where did you source your conversion kit??? the conversion kit were from rally design they are a universal kit so a little adapting may be needed depending on what your fitting them to but all in all they are pretty simple to fit

made a start on the engine today . not ever stripped a 1272 vw lump so was a first for me very simple little engine though space is a bit on tight side for some parts resulting in so colour language at times ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) ;D ;D the engines internals turned out to be in very good shape for the millage needing very little work just cleaning up and checking over on most parts ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/nightmaresracing/project%20cars/100_8181.jpg) ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/nightmaresracing/project%20cars/100_8183.jpg) ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/nightmaresracing/project%20cars/100_8182.jpg) cleaned up the head and fitted new stem seals ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/nightmaresracing/project%20cars/100_8184.jpg) and debured the intake ports ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v333/nightmaresracing/project%20cars/100_8186.jpg) heads now back on and its all timed up with new belt and water pump just the inlet to fit and a couple of other bits and hopefully it'll all be back up and running tomorrow ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Dear me you do work fast - and with knackered hands too! Hope I didn't hold you up too much. Looking forward to seeing this 'finished' *
* The ' ' is because no nightmaresracing car is ever really finished!

the little breadvan ( percy )as karen likes to call it performed faultlessly over the weekend at the gathering even got a go round the sprint track thanks to fellow nightmares club member evilged plus it was faster round the track at one point (mostly due to having better traction) than my v8 cortina estate ;D the drive home took a while as my estate can't do traffic which meant we had to stop a couple of times on the a303 but the polo was flawless and kept up even on the quicker parts of the journey got a few small jobs to do to it over the winter but we are both pretty happy with the response the car gets and the way it looks . thanks to everybody for the great comments the car got over the weekend and as you can hear in the video clip the cars owner is still very much happy with the car ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

cracking little car, always had a soft spot for the breadvans. i think some opel manta 400 mirrors would suit it better.
