Nice choice Grizz. When are you getting some adaptors then? Adaptors are being custom made from a piece of billet in Germany by a rather tallented engineer and machinist. Price to be confirmed, but I suspect it will be a bit more than the price of a plane ticket. Whichever way.... It has to be worth it.

Just back from Classic Ford Meeting at Santa Pod. Got to have a great time with the German contingent of www.busraser.de which included Dave, Christian, Thorsten (Totti) and Michael. Also got to meet up with the elusive Mr Hairnet, who brought me some primer, satin black and matt black in "exchange" for the 5 wheels I had prepped for the Skoda pickup I was going to do last year. Busraser camp being set up... Doing what he does real well.....BBQ - Dave, with Michael supervising. Arty............... erm ? Thanks to Dave for the German Beers for my brother, New Sump, and NOS Sump gasket. One of the primary reasons, other than seeing some good friends and people on a great weekend, was to pick up my Radars for the bus, and to give Thorsten one as a sample, as he has a friend in Germany who will be making up the adaptors to go from 5 x 160 to 5 x 205 on the bus for what I would say, a decent 300-Euro price. Dave inspecting. Chuffed.... Me ?

Coolio - i've feel guilty for not taking too much notice of these before - but now i've looked at this thread, I think these things are awsome!! Did the busraser.de guys pop along to Billing later on Sunday? My mate's dad was trying to explain to us about some vans he saw that looked like VWs but weren't - we suggested they might have been Taurus Transits?... either way he was well impressed. Dissapointed I didn't see them though Went up to Billing for the weekend - but saw lots of cool Fords about down at Tesco Sat morning Edit; Not sure if my mate's dad had seen these at Billing or out & about around our native Wellingboghorror

Hi Dan, You are right, when they got to Santa Pod, they were not allowed to go in to camp, so luckily, someone guided them over to Billing. They only came through to Billing on Saturday morning late. Hey Grizz- looking good! if you don't want your old steelies -might you sell them? That would enable me to get mine banded -hopefully! Cheers mate Hi Nigel, Thanks. Tell you what, something that should be in your grasp, ability...... When the time comes that I need to fit the adaptors for the 5x205's I will trade you, my set of wheels with some tyres on, for a set of 4 VW Split/Beetle wheels at 5x205's with tyres on, condition will be pretty much imaterial, as I only need them to hold air, and be used as roll around wheels when I do the bus' bodywork. Let me know if it suits you, and if you can do it.

Had a load of domestic stuff to deal with this morning, so only got onto the bus at 12.30. I needed to remove the old DENTED sump, and replace with one Dave brought me from Germany last weekend. He also found me a NOS sump gasket, which I ended up using, though I had wanted to re-use the old one..... but looking at it, it seemed a bit sill to chance it, when I had a new one. Pics can do the talking. wibblepoo place to be when you are the size of Me.... NOS Sump gasket Replacement sump, small dent, but much better than the one that came out. It's all in the preparation, innit??? Matched up. Old vs New Old Gasket, may have had it...... ;D At some point, I will have to stop running away from seeing to the brakes, and deal with them. ;D ;D ;D

Well, what can I say?? I had to do some work to the front brakes over the weekend, as it will need brakes for MOT of course, and got to a point where many monkeys get to, and then play ground to a halt, as I was not sure about just how much force one could use to persuade a part back into place...... On to better news...... my German engineer has let me know the adaptors to go from 5x160 to 5x205 so that I can get the alloys onto the bus, are completed, and look beautiful. Pic of Sunday carnage..... it will get fixed again.

I'm impressed, seems you've been very busy mr grizz, now when can I come over and see it then ? If you still have my number in your phone Adam, just text or call, you are welcome any time , as long as I am here. Was just saying to Nicola, I had hoped to be further by now, bit then I had not planned on meeting a great woman. Tonight I prepped, masked and satin blacked her 12 year old sons £10 skipfind bike, and then added some stickers and vinyl I had cut for it. Always something being done. See you soon as.....
