Hi all. Just joined this forum on recommendation from shaun1706. I'm 16, and the mum of one of my mates has let a few of us loose on her precious old Metro. It's not been moved for 13 years, and the aim is to get it into roadworthy condition. We don't want to do anything big on it, we'd quite like to keep it as original as possible. Please click here to find out about the car and keep up to date on what we're doing with it- highrevsuk.blogspot.com/. Thanks, Andy

Good to see we're not the only 16 yos stupid enough to take a metro on as a project. That Turbo makes ours look easy. I guess you guys are the people to come to for advice? We're going to need it, we don't have a clue really. Where's the best place to get cheap parts? Local scrappy?

How odd that we should have so many 16YOs on here building Metro's, will look brilliant at Wheels Day in a couple of years time with them all in a row! Welcome to Retro-Rides.

Yes, it's very odd seeing so many 16yos working on Metros! Perhaps it could be a target for us all, to get them completed for Wheels Day?

Does look pretty straight, didnt know Metros came with the Cadburys Bourneville dashboard, that must be the finest Metro dash I`ve ever seen.
That one of Mk1turbos is a clean thing, isnt it?

Ah, feel the Metro love! Shouldn't have sold mine! *
*that's a lie, it's moved on to another RRer who's actually trying to fix it rather than just looking at it occasionally like I did.

curse word. If only I'd joined a while ago I probably could have found a decent home for my brother's old Vanden Plas. Ended up going to some Mini and Metro spares place at Iver where it was no doubt robbed for bits for a Mini

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Hiya shaun, When is your fiesta going? Matt Matt, The MK1 Fiesta has now gone to a good home in Northampton. I just know I will regret selling it
