Now that is nice . Back in the very early eighties when I lived in Hendon, London a work mate of mine bought a mustard coloured 1300 GT, he ran it for twelve months, then turned it into a race car, I think he entered the modified production saloons with it. All I know was it was a superb car and had many a happy time in it, in fact I thought I would end up with it, so was little sad to see go as a race car, but not long after I ended up buying a mint MK1 Avenger Tiger Good luck with yours and hope to see you out and about in it.

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Just a small update. I've been gathering a few bolt on mods including these. I'm not 100% about them at the moment, I love the look but there might be a few clearance issues ;D I've measured the offset at 26mm and i've seen a few 1100s running this clearance so I might just go for it.

Wow, that's a pearler. Rims are ftw.
My girlfriend will be envious... she's got a 1300 Mk3, in a similar shade of orange. Not quite as minty fresh though!!!! Let us know how you get on with the wheels, we're looking at widened 12" steels for hers...

Yes i'd prefer re-rimmed 12s to be honest but I figured it'd be tough to get tyres.
There is a sizable spacer cast into the wheel which i might be able to machine down, it depends how it affects the nut holes.
Does anyone know the standard wheel offset? I measured it at 57mm but that was with the tyre on (not accurate).

No body mods on this car, lowering might well be out of the question too.

Chris at onethirtysecond is a top bloke and a bit of a skilled beggar too! You could also keep an eye out for the Airfix kit of the MG1100 which can be adapted accordingly - they even did a slot car kit version too. These are pretty rare though, I've got a rough rtr slot version in my collection - needs new tyres!

Woah!! How did this pass me by? It's amazing!! Absolute minter. Great stuff Your Alleycats really suit it. Dare I suggest a tiny bit of rubber stretching to get tread under the arches? Congrats on a great car.

bazzateer - I love the MG, a real period clubman racer.
Matt - feel free to suggest away, i'm sure a tiny bit of stretch will be required.
Does anyone know where I can get hold of a set of wheel nuts for the cats?

HI, I'm NOT SURE RE THEM WHEELS, THINK THEY STICK OUT WAY TO MUCH ON THE FRONT IN MY OPION AND THATS WITH OUT A TYRE ON? ALSO I'm SURE WOULD FAIL A MOT, BUT YOU COULD JUST PUT THE STEELS BACK ON FOR THAT, ALSO THINK WILL MAKE THE STEERING VERY HEAVY, WHEEL BEARINGS UNDER MORE STRAIN AND THE DRIVE OFF TH E CAR AFFECT ALOT, MY MATE GARY HAD A SET OF 13 INCH MINILITTES ON AND WASNT NICE TO DRIVE ETC, THEY LOOK MINT and do suit the GT BUT NEED TO BE 12,S BUT NOT AS WIDE WITH SAY 155 165 TYRES MAX.
