Yep, cats love to sit on or in everything! The main panel was left on the floor of living room to let the adhesive dry, next night it had hundreds of little muddy paw prints on it!! Gotta Love cats, a love of soft furnishings and being in the middle of whats going on... Mine used to sleep on the back seat of the car whilst I worked on it.... had to remember this before closing the doors.

Parcel shelf finished now - ally trim needs notching for seatbelts & polishing and I also need to fit the rivnuts to fix it down. Other stuff..... thought it might be useful to have remote battery posts as the battery is buried behind the boot panels - not an easy job to access for jump start or charging so ordered some off the net, do you think they are man enough, lol Bit larger than I expected!

Drivers door trimmed - not entirely happy with it - might end up redoing this one before next spring. Finished repainting the passenger door today so I could unwrap the pop again - a sneak photo of it sitting on its wheels at long last.

This thing brings great big buckets of glee to an otherwise dreary Sunday night. Probably to other nights too.

Thanks guys, less progress today as I was knocking up cement (ooh my back ) Finished the passenger door panel; and trimmed the steering wheel centre - still needs a logo disc in the middle but unsure the grey is an improvement or not.

Now I know it's taken you 7 hours to get that finish on the paint on that door I feel much happier. It can sometimes be easy to think people do these jobs quickly on a build thread, it's comforting to me as a reader to know this is not the case.
It does look beautiful now too, just like the rest of the car.

Thanks guys,
Yes, stunning paint comes at a price, anyone can do it if they put the hours in and use the right tools. Farecle mops cost more but they polish waaay better than cheaper mops.
Yeah, why do I listen to others - someone commented the black middle looked curse word (I liked it) so I tried a different colour. Now it's had glue on it its knackered underneath.
Looks like I'll have to get something turned up in ally now.

An ally boss would be much better than black or grey, so in a roundabout kind of way you end up winning anyway.

Looks like I'll have to get something turned up in ally now. If you can get it colour anodised I might be able to get it on the laser part marker at work. I'll need a graphics file or text as well. An 8-Ball might look nice

A quick potatochop shows roughly what it could look like; Thanks for the offer of the anodise lasering, but I think I'll go for plain for now. Though "Blackpopracing" would look cool etched into it ....hmmmmm........ Also need an insert for my shifter.....hmmmmm....... We do have a CNC router at work that can route ally, might have to have a play with that
