GPS isn’t allowed, I presume, because it won’t work when the antenna can’t see the sky. You could fit an electronic one though, with either a sender screwed into the gearbox where the cable used to go, or a pickup on the prop. I could, but that would be A, expensive, and B, would not fit in with the rest of the dash.

Any chance of running an angle drive type gearbox to get the speedo drive around the corner without a tight bend in the cable?

There is, I was going to use this originally but at over £100 I found the bends in the cable worked better Remember, I'm 100% happy with the speedo as is, it's only the tester who want's it to read high.

Amazing build, I read the whole IVA section and will be going back to read the first 50 pages - your attention to detail is second to none, not to mention some serious painting skills!
Re the speedo, I can't seem to find a pic of the actual head unit - but (thinking laterally) can you rotate or pic/photoshop/reprint the dial?

I have the super lube now so will try that, I can remove the panel in the engine bay and run the cable over the engine temporarily which will remove the tight bends -so that might be a option to play it safe. Thanks Wightfug - glad you enjoyed it. There is a photo of the dash in the thread somwhere.
