its not quite there yet I don't think. It has looked stunning after every update then you go and rip it back and add more! You do realise more paint is more weight ;D Absolutly stunning finish on this. John.

Ah, but I didn't photo the small run or the orange peely bits though If it was like that all over I would be very happy! Gonna inspect it tonight and decide whether to flat it back one more time.

....you have the patience of a saint - if this doesn't win best paint awards everywhere then the judges should be shot - keep at it !

Blimey, good to see this back at the top of the board. Paint looks amazing, and you have some serious patience, If I ever get round to redoing the 205, I have a feeling it won't be going black I seriously don't think I could keep going As for whether it's good enough, well, you seem to be the most critical of judges so I reckon it's going to end looking even better. Glad to see you have your mojo back ;D

Well it would have been the last coat but.......... looked at it today properly & I'd missed a bit in 2 places a quick scotchbrite down (mainly so I could see where the new paint will go on) and another coat has seen it looking good. It will have Melliard flames on it at some point so that will break up any ripples in the bodywork (not that there will be any lol!)

;D ;D ;D Lol, I'll try.
I removed all the masking today so it better be finished. Have to get it into the back garden now so will need to leave it a week to harden as it has to go sideways through the end door, have to do it very carefully!

You've not thought this through Mark. I'm pretty sure you're gonna end up with a mag feature, but how's the poor photographer gonna take pics when there'll be a reflection of themselves in every shot.

This deserves a WOW! This pic is utterly amazing,it's like chrome. I doubt there are many,if any, professional painters who could better what you've achieved.Brilliant in every sense of the word. Oh! and Melliard does the best flames, imho, another painting genius.

Thanks Anglia 68, not sure yet whether to do my own flames or bit the bullet & get Neil to do them. I'm after a blatant copy of 'Billy the Kid's' flames on his old Anglia, except I want mine to go further down the car, finishing over the rear wings. Anyways........... The masking on the car finally was removed after about 5 years!!!!! The tape needed a little persuasion with some panel wipe (well a few hours. lol) but this is the first time I have seen it unmasked in is glory. I’m pretty pleased with it, although some of my masking off on the cage was not as well thought out as I thought! Nothing that a lot of polishing wont cure though. I’ll have to mask it all off again soon to start on the exterior, ho hum!

Good to see this back at the top Mark, I was wondering how you were getting on. There must be something in the air because I cracked into my Anglia and got it back on the road again at about the same time as you started updating this thread again!
Looking good, but HURRY UP MAN, I want to see this on the road!!!
