That's a stunner! I almost hate myself for saying this, but does anyone else think it might look better with 7s all round? I can get what you're saying, it is a bit 'rollerskatey' out back. For the time being though it'll be staying like it is. The missus has the final say on the matter as it's her car. ;D

I took my '75 LS auto for a last spin this morning as I sold it this afternoon No way Stu, I didn't realise you were selling. Probably just as well though otherwise I would have tried to buy yours as well! ;D Well, the car wasn't really for sale, I just didn't use it very much and knew the previous owner really wanted it back so I let it go to him. I'd only done 1000 miles in the few years I'd had it, just about on 36k yesterday when it went Miss it already though!

Coolness, I like that, much nicer than 5dr mk2s IMO (sorry ) Very stricking, thats ready to go, though narrower rims may be sensible where kerbs n stuff are concerened 10/10 straight outta the box

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I think MK1's in general are nicer than MK2's, I just happened to end up with a MK2

Well today I got round to fitting a Chrome front grill to the car to finish it off; I also picked this up; It's a '79 1.5 GLS. I bought it with the intention of breaking it for parts to use on the '77, but it's really too good for that being honest, so will probably get a little refurb of it's own. It's got 81000 documented miles on the clock, and was one family owned until I bought it.

Your Golf collection is growing nicely! Yeah, don't break the 'new' car, looks in pretty good order and worth a refurb job
