Motors a 1.8 16v renault clio lump on yamaha R1 bike carbs, R1 fuel pump and R1 airbox, those piccies were taken when it was in the previous car thus the red engine bay. More than enough power for me as is so it's staying like that for the time being, i'd rather stick the money into suspension etc first

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

They're 137 standard apparantley they should make 160bhp on throttle bodies at least if set up well.

Yer sounds about right, although I haven't had the car RR'd yet so I don't want to get too optimistic and end up dissapointed, so i'm going to hold my breath and give a guess of 145HP for the time being lol. I do wanna get it RR'd and weighed soon though

You'd have to get a 360 to fit the B20 unless you want a lot of work. The renault engines are ace was the rest of the cars that disintergrated lol.

Well i'm hoping to go to the DWYB setup by driftworks at the pod the end of october. Depends if I get the little niggly jobs sorted first though gotta get my new dipstick tube in, replace the access plate gasket on the diff and refill the oil and if I get chance may even change the clutch. The guy said it's had a new clutch but if it has the thrust bearing hasn't been changed with it and it's a bit noisy which I don't like the idea of :S IF I manage to sort those though I should be there

Little update, rather than starting a new thread When I bought the car mr "Arthur Job" who I bought the car off started removing the sound deadening, but never did finish it! I got bored after work and started messing with a chisel and a hammer taking it out thinking "F*ck me this is gonna take forever!" Was only gonna spend 5mins on it because I was gonna hold out till I got my hands on some serious hot air gunnage! Anyway my dad said "Why don't you try moms hairdryer?" I said no at first thinking it wouldnt get hot enough to get me anywhere, but contemplating it in my head while looking like a pot noodle miner chipping away 2cm at a time I thought what the hell and gave it a try. Hair products rock, period! Got into it in the end as it was whizzing me through the job, didnt have f*ck all else to do so went for it Heres how it looked before noticed sound deadening missing here n there and looking generally tatty! and heres after going at it with the hairdryer, chisel and a couple different width scrapers. The hairdryer is the "golden gun" as it helped out big style lol! Did start painting it out in Zinc rust primer but didnt get any piccies, gonna finish that off, leave it for a good 7 days, then attack it with black hammerite! Also clutch is adjusted nicely, diffs stopped leaking and I have a fully functioning dipstick!

Did you get a kit off mac? If it's randomly just stopped leaking then I'd check the level... been there, done that
