THIS IS ONE OF MY MARINAS THAT I HAVE ALL BUT FINISHED AFTER A LENGTHY RESTO JOB. I SPENT THE FIRST 18 MONTHS WITH AN ON,OFF RESTORATION THEN DECIDED THE STANDARD 1800 WASN,T WORTH PUTTING BACK IN.SO AFTER ASKING AROUND I GOT MY HANDS ON A TRIUMPH 2500CC ENGINE AND OVERDRIVE BOX. TO HANDLE THE INCREASE IN POWER I GOT HOLD OF A DOLLY SPRINT REAR AXLE. TO HELP OUT THE HANDLING I PUT ON THE TELESCOPIC FRONT SHOCKS AND 10CWT VAN SPRINGS. FINALLY THIS YEAR I PICKED UP A SET OF WOLFRACE SLOTS AND GREY LEATHER SEATS,JUST NEEDS A FEW FINISHING TOUCHES AND AN MOT. HOPE YOU LIKE IT OUT THERE, I KNOW MARINAS don't HAVE A GREAT FOLLOWING BUT I LIKE EM.

Nicest Marina I've ever seen, great work. Might not want to type in upper case all the time, it's irritating to read.

Gadzoiks! Was there a six cylinder Marina for the Aussie market? There was...in Australia and South Africa they used the 1750 Maxi E-series 4cyl lump, and the six from the Austin/Morris 2200 and Wolseley Six, bored out to 2.6 litres. Its all here: www.austin-rover.co.uk/

Yep, SEFFRICANS get it all, innit Guv ?
Seriously though, it seems that we do get a lot of non standard type large capacity stuff as standard.

Great work... Good work getting the 2.5 in !? It's quite a long engine isn't it ? Did you have to do any body mods to get it in ? Excellent... Rob

Basically to get enough room i chopped a chunk out of the front xmember for the crank pulley, raised and widened the tunnel then cut a slot in the bell housing to let it sit up close to the rack.not to much grief really. ;D ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Bit late in the day to comment but I am never less than amazed at how matter of fact some people are when explaining mods that took skill and ingenuity to carry off. You have THE ingredients for a true modded old car. Shonky Marina, straight 6 Triumph power, Woolfies, Dolomite rear axle, OD box, etc, etc, everything about it is so 70s Custom Car Fabulous.
