I have one too, as for what to do its your car, they are fairly easy to lower, ( chop the back springs bolt in a reverse eye spring on the front) bike engines etc have been done along with larger fiat engines.. but often means losing the back seat... just type the words maluch 126p into google should get you started...

Where are you based? I regularly see a mint red one just like that driving through Wakefield city centre sometimes. It's cool!

I'd convert it to a FIRE engine. You can get a Cinq or Seicento Sporting engine for very, very cheap, same applies for Punto 1242 8v. 1242 16v is a bit rarer and more expensive (but powerful and twin cams), likewise the newer 1.4 16v. Find a crashed MK2 Punto/Grande Punto 1.4 and you're onto a winner!
That's what I'd do anyway. Its up to you of course. Alfa V6?

Screaming bike engine sounds good. I'd say if you love it as it is, try keep the character as it is. Cool another top thread to watch

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Cool car mate, always wanted a 126. Theres a ratty looking one that smokes around Torbay with no bumper, for some reason I love it. That would be awesome! Get a tiny turbo off a small engined diesel car stick that on with an intercooler and wind the boost up

the turbo idea is a good one, i was gonna use a diahatsu mira turbo for mine but from all accounts the gearboxes aint up to much on 126's , so its better to do a drive train swap...)

turbo is definately an option, trying to think of the cheapest and easiest way to have some serious fun..next question is how the hell do i get a lsd for it,,,i suppose a 1600 beetle engine and box is a similar set up so that is another option or dare i say a dash of nos ;D ;D ;D ;D,oh it's oh so easy to get silly....i think the first step is to get rid of all excess weight(rear seats, bumpers, carpets, and some drastic abuse with a hole saw...will takes pics as i go
