8`s are going to be a B1tch on the rear especially without Arching it, should work on the front though for proper Drifty fun with 7`s out back 15`s are much cooler than they look in that pic You back at LU again now ? Meet up for lunch in EHB one day if you fancy it

yeh got back up here the other day after getting back from boarding and spending a few days on the chevette yeh I'm up for that anything to distract me from my final year project that is due in in 6 weeks the library is gonna be my best friend for the next few weeks!! I remember trying my 8's on the rear and thinking it was going to be interesting but i still think it is possible especially with some low profile tyres and abit of arch rolling/pulling and my rear arches arent exactly great anyway so don't mind playing with them abit.

Those compos are keeeewl. I think I'm gonna try some bigger wheels some time soon on mine too.
Good work!
Everyone needs to get their shiznit finished so we can have a Chevette/Kadett valve-violence hoon about.

Must say: Looks absolutely stunning. I am in love with the 4 link setup going on for the rear. It looks positively nuts. I wish that I lived close enough to have it done to any chevette I ever pick up in the future, but I live across the pond in Canada. Unfortunately the only people who seem to do much with Chevettes out her butcher them with the bubba-stick to make them into drag racers. I will definitely be watching this build for inspiration man, please, keep going with this!

Still struggling with Pedalbox mounting but hopefully crack on with it some more this week, Helping IRSM with his Starlet Cage yesterday and seeing Rev dick Delux, Spike, Nightmares etc today has helped the enthusiasm somewhat ;D Anyway - excuse the Dexion I needed something to get it in the right place to start with All a bit tight and still some work needed on the column It all needs Fabricating properly, there is a lot of metal chopping going on just to get the box in there at all, the fact I have moved the column over to straighten it and give more room in the engine bay for an exhaust hasn`t exactly made things easier around the pedalbox area New column with 3/4" Helicopter Joints and new Smaller splined section will help I have the joints and spline, just need some 3/4" thick wall CDS for the column now More (Hopefully) later in the week Cheers Dom

Knowing that it is appreciated is about all thats keeping it going at the moment Have to force myself to work on it as there is very little enthusiasm there You wouldn't be happy going my way either... I was discussing with rmad why I don't have a build thread for the Sunny. In the last 3 years it would have had 2 entries.. When this is out there and you're driving it you will have achieved 2 things, firstly you'll have an awesome car and secondly you'll be inspiring other people .. oh and thirdly I can almost guarentee a feature somewhere

Keep going, keep the faith.... It will be worth it in the end. This thread and all your work has kept me going on my project when I lost motivation. I'm sure we're due a head to head thrash..... When we're both done! mad

All looking good Dom.
The level of thought, experience, design and engineering skill that has gone into this build so far are simply staggering.
You really are a highly talented engineer and it really is a joy to read your updates. Please feel the love again, the end result will be more than worth it!
Rysz.
