Cheers fella The Etch primer job is still a bas7ard and I cant face doing it at the moment so I am busy in the engine bay instead The weld / grind /weld thing is strangely therapeutic especially when thinking of the end result...... Not terribly exciting photowise though More holes filled, more welds ground back The metalwork has now all been cleaned back again with the grinder/fine flap wheel/wire brush combo, and treated to a coat of that Purple stuff to stop the surface rust coming back, there is a new headlight panel going in as well, the headlight has been split apart so I can finally get that "German look" to them as I have sussed out how they do it ;D None of which I have photos of though as it was 11pm by the time I packed up last night to drive back down to Essex Some other shots for Hollywood Barn in all its Glory See no Pandas And the rear Axle showing the reason I wanted some shorter Shafts Ideally I want to lose about 20mm from each side between the Hub and the Bearing...... Cant see it happening though so will probably mean Split rims instead to get the (Inner) Arches filled while remaining inside standard Bodywork Looks possible to get a 9" wide rim inside with an 8" wide tyre which should be plenty of grip for now Cheers Dom

Thank you "all knowing one" ;D don't get this "geeky compootrrickery" stuff Have some more then ;D The purpley/black stuff is a kurust type thing just until I can get it all ready for paint, it was cleaned back to bare metal before applying ;D just stops it flashing with surface rust again Mmmmn New billet flywheel clutch side: Trigger wheel side: It weight 4.2 kg complete with ring gear ;D and cost less than machining 2kg off the standard flywheel would have cost Exige Stack Dash: which will go into standard Binnacle

I never knew there was such a thing as a sexy flywheel. Or is that just me...

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

It's not you.... trust me that is very very sexy My sentiments entirely ;D And a Billet steel Flywheel for £200 Inc VAT and Delivery I thought it was very reasonable too ;D He does most stuff, and to suit race/special clutches too BC it would make the Monza spin up lovely ;D

My sentiments entirely ;D And a Billet steel Flywheel for £200 Inc VAT and Delivery I thought it was very reasonable too ;D Bargainious - Cost me £300 for the last one I had made and it's 9kg BC it would make the Monza spin up lovely ;D I don't think I can go much lighter than 7kgs - the tickover is close to unstable now and the pull away is tricky enough as it is Slightly OT Three of us "Norfolk Monza Mafia" are building 3.7 L 24V engines for Monzas during this year - just ordered 3 sets of pistons and we all have LC cranks, Rods and good C30SE blocks/heads as a base for the engines - all will need custom flywheels later in the year so I'll talk to you in April about the guy you are using

That flywheel is sexy pants...keeps me imagining what life'll be like when I can get to putting stuff together rather than stripping it to fund some kind of existence.
Bay's looking good and must be fun to be getting on with lightening this and tightening that. Hope to swing by the garage some time and have a closer look see.

cheers mate that will be great, and as much as i would love a flywheel like that i think i would rather have the car on the road first so a standard one will be fine for now, ive got a spare engine for rotation rebuild purposes anyway
