We've got some slutmags that may go on ours one day...... The guy from Norfolk, Jamin with the green & white V8 Hawk has got some pretty wheels on his, not sure what they are (sorry to be a bit girlie there!)
By the way, our snipe is kinda back on the road. She moved back to her lock up tonight for the first time in 3 months since the big end went bang on the way back from Billing. Now we have a huge space on the driveway. She's running beautifully, now for an MOT.

Quality, congrats getting it back I've just taken mine off the road The wiring was so bad I just took the dash off and pulled half of it out. I'll post up pics soon, just got to upload them from the camera at work. And while the dash was off, I thought it deserved a freshen up... Pics in approx three weeks I guess I better re-wire it and do some welding, then. Bums.

When I restored my '63 Beetle, my dog and mate, a Black Standard Poodle was there every day, every minute while I worked.
They make the best "Resto-Buddies"

My dad's Border Collie 'Tagg' has been flitting round the workshop all day bringing me punctured footballs and plastic squeaking hands when I really needed a 7/16th open-ended and some Plus-Gas.

Soooo, it's been a while so here's a bit of an update. She's been chillin' at a secret yard full of snotters: But I've been busy cleaning my guages... To fit to my beautifully re-lacquered dash And glovebox: While the dash was out I thought I would strip this so it could be sent to the trimmers So I took the opportunity to begin work on the floor: Which after a wire brush wasn't too bad, save for a few little holes: And while that lot was out I cleaned up the under-door trim: Tomorrow I've got to fix this bloody window before winter sets in in earnest More soon. The dash look fantastic, looks like a good finish to it. I really like the colour of the MG Maestro in the "secret yard full of snotters", don't see many in that blue. Its not by any chance on a "D" plate and hiding a turbo engine is it?

Should look great re-trimmed.

Right, had ALL the curse word out of the floor and gave it a tickle with the wire brush grinder head. I didn't get as much done as I'd hoped but you'll see why in a sec: Ready for welding and painting tomorrow: Sooo, I was de-rusting away, then the bloody thing caught an edge and shot up in the air. Like a big wimp I dived out of the door (I had no protection...oops) and it ground itself through the power cable. Bums. Anyhow, I decided I might put one of these in. Purely for the noise.

Thanks man, I may well take you up on that!
It does need a coil trimmed I think. Just got to sort the bleedin' floor first. While I'm waiting for seats I may well put the hemi in. Not sure about it, though. Might get death threats from the Post Vintage Humber Car Club...
I'll see how the Armstrong Siddley sixer in there runs with a leccy fan.

Don't do it for the speed whatever you do. Or the parts availability. Just the look of a hemi under the hood and the noise of it tbh.
p.s. the more cardy-wearers you piss off the more cool points you get dontchaknow ;D
Death threats are a holy grail.

Not all Humber folk hate it - some are wise to the fact that this will get a heap of publicity for car and club! Watching with interest...
EDIT - incidentally, not sure I fancy the V8 option. It already has a pretty good six pot. Remove most of the exhaust and see what it sounds like! Don't hear many folk complaining that a Healey 3000 or E-Type Jag doesn't sound nice.
