Been watching this thread and progress on the car. As a classic peugeot owner and committee member of the Peugeot owners club all I can say is that I'm totally horrified at what I am seeing here. The 505 Gti has some classic lines and this kind of treatment does it no good at all. It's not as if there are that many left in standard trim!!
NOT! if this car ever comes up for sale I will sell every member of my family to own it! Please please please slater!
ps I'm going to link this thread to the cpuk forum to show everyone there just how damn cool older pugs can be. You sir are my newest hero in a broke back mountain stylee

Bloody hell! Nice repairs to those wishbones, can't believe the spring cup area, lucky your thorough or that could have been nasty with some stiffer springs! Underside is looking very nice too

They are forged mr. B The thread is 3/4unf. It was the biggest left hand tap and die that was in the relms of me affording and the same size as the rallydesign adjustible kits use.

Yesterday Made the strut tops today but left the camera in the car and its cold so you will have to wait! I think I have all the running gear parts made now so its just bolting it back together so I can measure up to find what springs I need to order I'm thinking 350lb fronts 250lb rears??? relly don't know tbh!
