what the story with these then, were they availble over here?? these vehicles were made for the swiss and german postal service. there wasnt alot of them made and subsequently there's not alot of them left. there is only 3 off them in the uk that i know off that are on the road and 1 other that is being restored by a friend. they ran the same chassis as the karmann ghia. < minty >

The don't share panels with any other VW do they?.. even though they look like they should..

The don't share panels with any other VW do they?.. even though they look like they should.. there are lot of things that are very similar like sliding door etc, but the only panels/repair sections you can use are karman headlight surrounds, the engine lid is the same as a split. everything else is quite unique. < minty >

Well done for doing it!
