OK, so I'm cheating a bit. It's not my current ride, as I still haven't got it out of winter hibernation (as I've had a lot of work to do on my BMW 1602 in the meantime), but here's my 230SL: No plans for it at the moment, as I like it just as it is! Just can't wait to get driving it again for the summer....

OH MY GOOD LORD!!! That's stunning. I absolutely love it, seriosuly, that's probably the finest automobile I've seen on RR. Simply gorgeous.
Congratulations on such a beautiful ride.

Oddly enough, I was behind one of these in traffic yesterday. I was thinking what a beautiful car it was and then you post this up! How odd!
Great car dude.

Are you bringing it to the Retro Rides show? It would be awesome to see it in the metal and have a nose around, especially around the engine bay - I want to check for space...

Just found this. Not suggesting that your ride is lacking in any way whatsoever Rhodrich, just thought this was a cool pic: Amusing Jealous is not the word...

Gorgeous. Pagodas have a style which is lacking in the later SLs.
Manual or auto? I love the light-up indicator panel on the autos.

I'm afraid not - it's my dad's 70th that weekend (old git).... Still, why would you want to put anything else in the engine bay? The 2.3 Litre fuel injected straight six is a work of art, and is torquey enough to push the car all the way from 30mph to 130mph in fourth gear (mine's a manual, not an automatic- I don't do slush boxes....)

Well, if, say, I found a shi*ter that needed a lot of work I would be interested to see what other lump from the Mercedes Benz inventory could be dropped in... The six pot is cool, though. I just have a thing for MB V8's
