I think the only things that needs is a bit of chrome, clear indicators, polished wheels, lowered and thats about it, or leave it as it is, its still pimp as.

sorry to dig up this old thread... but that is such a sleek motor! got a bit of a mad max feeling to it...... why not try a 5.5 v8 conversion and turn it into a drift curse word! (would ruin it a bit!) lovely car though would love to see some progress, i know you cant not tweak it

Just seen your post pete, late, but heres an update... A couple weeks after buying it, I blew it up... Managed to put a piston through the side of the block. Looked about for another 2.0L lump with no joy. Lost all enthusiasm, and it sat on the drive looking sorry for itself for a while. Found an injection engine, got bored of trying to fit that. The auto and slowness curse word me right off as it was so didnt really want to replace it with more boringness. And instead of fixing it, I bought it some new wheels, 2 sets actually. First.... A set of 16x8+9 Zender sport 5 spokes. Need a refurb and tyres, hence why I havent put them on yet. Then some keskins that proved it needs to be alot wider! Offsets on the Zenders are lower, so should fill the arches nicely. I'm debating what to do with it. It needs a new lump, and I don't want it to be slow. Thinking of some sort of 6 cylinder 3.0L jobby, but got a few other cars that need sorting first! Would love to put something in with a charger. Would be alot of work though.

You could put the M103 3 litre 6 pot lump out the W124 in. That virtually goes straight in using 190E 2.6 mounts etc. You can fit the 24v version but the bonnet wont shut unless you find a way of lowering the engine an inch and a half! A few years ago I had a 2.6 190 with a tired engine which we replaced with a 3.0 out of a 300E. It flew!!
