Failed its mot today on too higher hydrocarbons. The co level was way down so i have made it a little richer got a smoother idle now and its nicer to drive. Re test 2moro. Last chance before the big show. Carb jetting is now .130 main lets .110 air corrector and .55 idle jets.

By big show I hope you mean RR gathering.
Would be great to see you and the car there, looks like there will be a fairly strong rear engined skoda showing this year. Two at least*! lol!
*mine not being one of them.

Today we played guess the weight of the skoda. It came in at 844kg. With 3/4 of a tank of fuel. Weight distribution was 38%front / 62%rear.

Hey Andrew You know where I stand on this and as soon as the westy is sold then I am on it. To many cars in my garage and they are not mine. I have spoken to my friends in CZ and he is going to try and help where he can. He has a nice view out his front window of the skoda factory just outside of Prague on the road to Liberetz(sp) I went there to learn how to fall off a snow board early this year. I also found out he has a 130RS stashed somewhere. Its been in the family for years and is in mint condition. Its not been out of the garage for 15 years Speak soon Brian

Whats the current output. Did you get it retested. Price seems very fair considering the condition. Does not matter that its a Skoda Rapid, any car in that sort of condition should sell for at least what your asking.
Sounds like you had some bad luck with MOT testers. Should try a few more testers in your area until you find someone reasonable. Failing on things like HC and sunstrip problems are really not relevant failures for a car like this. I had similar problems with my classic for the first few MOTs until I found a good tester. On one MOT it failed on shock asorbers, brake calipers, visual exhaust inspection, front number plate not visible enough and a few more very similar and very silly things. In one day I fixed everything and brought it back which seemed to annoy the tester as he had to pass it then.
