How come the MOT pick you up on a dodgy handbrake but let you get away with notching the frames and dropping it that far? I know you´ve done it properly and i´m not having a go, you´ve done a realy good job ...but try living in Germany and doing the same mods....they´d impound your car on the spot for even thinking about doing half the stuff you´ve done to your Commer! I´m only jealous!!! the benefits of not living in a TUV state tbh, we don't get it too bad in the uk when it comes to modifications.

Fine work Dez, hows the Model A coming on? ive added one more piece of box section in the roof rails as part of the steeling-out, and thats it. been far too busy with other things at the mo to actually work on it.

this is the final update, cos ive now sold it! i replaced about 10 foot of roof edge first though- all the way down the drivers side, round the corner, across the back, and just round the gutter onto the passenger side. so thats it, end of thread. onto the next one

nah, mostly cos i'm not planning on doing anything to it for a while. its a 49 body that i chopped 7", its shortened on the rear 1/4s, fenderless, cut back to firewall. i've got most of the detail parts for it packed away- all the pre-52 door and dash bits and stuff.
its definately a back-burner thing, i've had it about 4 years now and i'm still not sure which direction i'm going to go with it, either mid mounted vw motor with flipped transmission and pop I-beam on custom chassis, or front mounted rover v8 with conventional gearbox and rear axle setup and pop I-beam on a lightweight, small diameter, heavily Z-ed conventional transverse leaf sprung hotrod chassis. itll probably be decided by what parts ive got kicking round once ive finished my model A and a few other projects. I'm in no rush with it.
