next update....... new wheels- 4x100 ronals- fitted with wobble bolts... to take into account the slight difference in pcd...
had a few teething issues as they were a little wider than the originals- so the inside rubbed the cover of the rear shocks a little when first put on.. but a small spacer (5mm) on the two back wheels sorted that.. and I think they look pretty good without going ott and calling so much attention to the car that it goes walkies...
Will probably give them a proper polish this weekend when I give the car it's weekly wash.. done a basic strip already just to get rid of the brake dust etc that was on them..
I kept with 14's in the end... mostly because I wasn't sure if the wobble bolts would work ok and didn't want to spend huge amounts of dosh on wheels I wasn't sure on.. and £50 for 5 wheels sat in my budget nicely... plus they were the same offset as my original steelies..
Maybe in the future I'll opt for some deeper dished wheels.. as I think I could go for a small offset easy enough... and can always get hold of arch extensions... especially now I know that I can get away with using the 4 x 100 pcd wheels.. but well happy with these for now.
So now I've finished rambling.. I'll let you comment..
quick before..
and new wheels
lol.. and my original PS attempt which (somehow) managed to convince the mrs that these would look good..
and a grill shot for fun..
And yes.. it needs a clean. I can almost feel the rust gremlins giggling and rubbing their hands together either side of that gorgeous russian quality steel... I'll beat them back with a good wash and polish this weekend.. and maybe go find somewhere arty farty for some better pics
