Hi guys I'm new to the forum but do have a passion for old motors with style (and some without sadly) I have a '79 V8 SD1 and a '90 BX 16V. Heres a picture of my 2 rides, I'm aiming to come with a few mates to the retro rides show this year!

My car history includes various 70s BL products and 80s citroens. My buddy has a delorean, SD1 Vitesse, Audi Quattro Turbo (UR), Porsche 928 and a MGB so I think he should join!

love these austin rover dashes, metro-range rover, shelf with binnicle (if thats right word!) and check those retro computer style keys on there! sometimes I feel bad for the SD1 that sacrificed its heart for my project. cool cars btw

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Andy my Bx had had 12 owners (me twice) so it may have been his old one lol! There getting very rare as they are still being bought for transplants by 205 bloody enthusiats , if they realised that a decent one is worth over £1000 easily and they are so rare now the number of examples left are in there low hundreds! So if any 205ers are reading this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE leave decent BX16v's alone or there will be none left!

Ah, talking engines. A BX 16v engine in a Pug 205 is so old-school! Squeeze a V6 in. Much more fun and you don't have to kill a BX 16 valve! I understand the later turbo'd 2 litre Xantia engine is much in demand for the same reason.

Yep all the Xantia activas are disappearing for the same reason, if you have driven a well sorte Activa why on earth would you want to put the engine in a tinny 80s peugeot with normal suspension? Not that the 205s and 309s arent good cars before anyone gets upset but there in a different league.
