Haha, was thinking of you yesterday (darling) I did a plug change on a 350 engined 4-dr 64 Impala. Bit different to yours, ratty, roof-rack equipped surf transport. Sounded damn good rolling along a deserted coast road though... Keep on keeping on. That flake chassis looks good enough to lick, a lot

Thanks fellas. Beneath the flake and white top coat is grey POR15 so that no stone chips ever hit bare metal. If this thing ever rusts then the world will have already ended.....

Don't worry, there's bloody plenty more left to do before this slag can roll the streets again. Just ordered a chrome front disc brake conversion, chrome quick steering box conversion and a few other wallet emptying bowtie treasures.

This is what it looked like when it came from an Oklahoma salvage yard (via Cumbrian floods). When it was stripped we found termite nests in the centre section where the prop goes through and inside the front cross member (which had accident damage).

Is that bit on the bottom right some form of strange towing attachment? Mad!

Strange towing bracket indeed. Someone tack welded it to the chassis in order to get it on and off the shipping containers. We have since binned it. The front x member had a big crease in which has since been tin opened up and repaired by Rocky with 6mm templates and lots of plasma cutting.
I don't sound west cuntry Matt you big tart!
