hi guys, ive been on here a wee while but never posted pics of my car. i'm guessing its sorta retro, as its an 89... well its insured under a classic policy anyway. its a jdm honda crx 1.5x which is the J only model that runs on twin carbs, it also means it falls under the lower tax bracket unlike the uk 1.6s. ive had the car just over a year in which time its performed faultlessly, like most hondas. the car was pretty much stock when I got it, and ive only done some subtle mods. full respray in its original torino red spax shocks and springs s/s manifold and scorpion exhaust uprated to vtec brakes vt front lip 15" civic alloys replaced some rattling interior trim. removed rear spoiler and wiper. removed jdm parking pole. when I first got it after removing the jdm spoiler, rear wiper and getting the dings and sratches sorted. let me know what ya think..

OOOH YES! I like that. Deffo a classic in my book. Prat Classics defines a classic car as something "driven and maintained for fun". So with that much fun on tap it deffo qualifies!

Nice car, love the black wheels btw, I have a friend with an intergra type R who used to have a few of these going back a couple of years, 1.6 and then a Vtec. I missed out on a civic hatch vtec the same age two weeks ago, M.O.T failure on rusty sills £75.00 I was not happy. Any future plans?

I like it! Over here they are almost always barried, drainpipe exhausts etc, which is a shame because the basic shape is pretty cool imho.

I love these! And i don't like J cars. Looks good with the black alloys. Suits em. Wouldn't mind one some day. Imports are 160bhp are they not? Saw this one the other week, sweet eh:

guys, thanks for all the kind comments, most folk seem to have a soft spot for the crx! hammo, strangely enough, that red rex used to belong to my mate! he sold it to a guy near birmingham i think? its a uk 16v=130bhp. generally as a rule-
1.5x=105bhp 16v=130bhp vtec=160bhp
although with the exhaust/mani/decat on my car, id guesstimate approx 110bhp? its had timing gear on it and does 0-60 in 8.6 secs and 17sec qrtr mile. this is thanks to the 1.5 being the lightest crx at approx 900kgs. it also has the benefit of no heavy sunroof mech, as they put a lot of weight where you don't want it, and every crx with a sunroof has rust/water leak probs!
grizz, I'm 6ft and over 15 stone so it wouldnt be a tight squeeze for you id guess. care to make me an offer? lol!
