front end isnt too bad tbh, theres a bit of crud on the drivers wing, and its startoing to rust on the valence, i got a fg front end with removeable bonnet for 130 quid so I'm gonna slap that on there, flip front styleeeee.
those arches look cool, did u struggle to get hold of some, i heard W&P had a bit of a shortgage a while ago

Oh right. Cool. I have always been tempted with a flip front. Will prob do that when i need another font end tho as iv just replaced mine.lol. Good to avoid gettin rust eh.lol
Yeah, i like em too. Diferent from the usual sportspack.
Nope, i mentioned to a guy i speak to that i needed a set and he had a set lying in his garage so he donated them to my project which i was chuffed about as it really helps me.
I have heard that too. you could always get a replica set from some of the other mini specialists?

i was thinking of getting some groups 2s and smoothing the holes over.
rust is another reason why i want a fg front, cat be arsed doing all the work toput a new front end on and then having to do it all again the year after. plus i can whip the hole front off when I'm working on it, no more oily cuts, well at least not as many

Yeah, i was gonna go for some extra wide group 2's but then i decided to get the W%P's. Group 2's do look awesome.
Hehe, how sharp is the bloomin front panel! Always manage to cut myself on it.
FG front would make working on it so much easier.

depending on what wheels i get ill have to see which arches to use, if i had 12x5s and got extra wide arches then they would be filled properly. unless i spaced the wheels out, which ive heard isnt a good idea on minis

Oh right. I'm sure that 5.12's would work fine under normal group2's and look just as cool.
Yep, your right. Wheel spacers are meant to be a very bad idea on a mini.
I'm just going for a set of 6x12" dished minilites til i can get 10's on it probably.

Well, i ordered a solid mount kit from mini spares on thursday nite and it arrived sat morning. Really good service, will be using them again: Also got my bulkhead box: Oh and heres another piccy of the engine. it turns over, turbo spins freely, and inside loooks extremely well looked after. Looks like its had regular oil changes etc. I also got the rad from the metro with an eleccy fan still attatched so il try use some of that. Got the ECU and fuel pressure reg too. Needs a bloody good clean though and a lick of paint!lol

Hehe, yeah i think its one of the best ways and surely the funnest. cant wiat to drive it!lol.
Cool. A 998 turbo would be dam cool. Iv always had a soft spot for 998's.
Eventually mine will get lots done for more power but the stock turbo engine will be fine for a start I'm sure.

Yeah, they are around 94bhp which should be pretty nippy. Especially since the 998 was only 42bhp or something.lol.
Thanks for the comments guys. its coming along. Its just finding the money and time to do it.
Cant wait to have it on the road!

I have to do 3 more coats of the floor and under all the arches, inside of new wings etc. Then I'm gonna waxoil the whole lot!
Its not that bad really if you have a bare shell, big shed and a big matress.lol.
