After wandering about here and posing here and there i thought it was about time i showed you guys my car and what ive been upto with it. It's a 1976 toyota 1000 Kp30 which i kind of brought of ebay (it had sold but then the buyer pulled out). The previous owner had fitted the 4K engine and done most of the engine work but then i've so far fitted: Tom's steering wheel Recaro seats from a MR2 mark 2 Sard oil pressure, water temp and oil temp gauges Omoni rev counter Magnecour leads Aerospeed water catch tank Modified KP61 starlet strut brace Modified (read a days extra work at the exhaust shop) starlet 4-2-1 manifold Powerflow 2" exhaust from the manifold back. Spec when i got it was: Compomotive alloys 8x13 on the rear and 6x13 on the front Steel arch lips fitted and body work cut away where needed Lowered 4" on polysport front struts lowering blocks on rear Lightened and balanced 4K engine fitted Kent 262 cam, vernier pulley and comp valve springs Mk1 ford fiesta xr2 carb fitted Future plans are: Get it over to my mates workshop so now the manifold is fitted he can finish the R1 carb manifold he is making then he will jet them to suit on the rolling road. Found a company that does custom springs near me so the plan is some stiffer leaf springs without the lowering blocks but about the same height ;D 5 speed swap got the gear box but needs a re-build Possibly a LSD but it's looking a bit pricey atm. It goes well mate i'm not really happy with the carb thats on it but should be good once the bike carbs are fitted the exhaust has made a feelable (is that a word?? ) difference. Tuning parts are pretty easy to get. As for the Omori gauge it came from japan off the auctions for a bargin £20 Simon

Hey I remember when that was on the bay, several forum members' trousers were damaged beyond repair. Great stuff.

I knew I'd seen it somewhere before - eBay! it looks stunning, really really gorgeous. This and Racer's parked next to each other would be mint. when you say 4k engine, is that the 4AEG (or whatever the code name is) Toyota engine out of the AE82 thats apparantly really good? Sorry, I know bot all about Toyotas and their engines

Toyota 4K is an old 1.3 4 cyl OHV engine which kicks out about 60-70hp, the 4AGE was after and is quite a bit more powerful! The 4K isn't without its charm though!!

As hirst has said the 4AGE is the moddern one but i like the old 4K and i'm sticking with it. Although there is 16v, 20v, 20v on ITB's and supercharged versions of the 4AGE to choose from wich is nice!!

Very cool car. Are those wheels 4x110? If so, where do you keep the car, how's the light there at night and are there any bricks lying around that I could use?

Ah, great to see it here! Fantastic little car.
Am I right in thinking the guy who built that is Darren (plus his dad) from Peterborough way? He's the chap who bought the Universal Salvage Datsun 1200, which is almost finished already, and had my yellow 240K off me last week. He certainly seems to crack on with stuff, and is keen to buy and do up more RWD J-tin.
