Just caught up to this topic, the LC is still top of my "want one" list. No, I can't afford to buy yours... That's a shame I'd rather it stayed in the club Oh, and I joined ABS about three days ago, so hullo! Will be reading through all 11 pages soon... One marque clubs get a really bad rep in general luckily the ABS is totally different and has a very refreshing outlook towards the core cars - they don't mind modifications it really is about the cars - much like this place

Believe me, I'd love it, as would MrsSE - but my bank manager wouldn't!

Well Might as well throw a couple of stolen pics up of it getting bored at a static car show (it really doesn't like them much - becomes very bad tempered and awkward) and yet going to events like Le Mans Classic and RRG events it doesn't play up at all. I think just over 25 turned up As usual the most important thing to do was to park up making sure if 890 LC turned up that it couldn't park next to you (that one really is very very imaculate) It's one car away from mine and even then that was a little closer than I'd like I forgot to get a picture but you know when you see a load of Deloreans together - it's always with all the doors open Here's a couple of picures I've shared before to illustrate the point Well this photo was a bit late as almost all the bonnets had been shut but it is normal to see any group of LC's with bonnets up as owners check the operation of the heat soak pump..... I'll probably get a ticking off for that......

Is it a trick of the light, or are some of them slightly different shades of "that green" in the line-up shot (3rd pic)?

Is it a trick of the light, or are some of them slightly different shades of "that green" in the line-up shot (3rd pic)? Pretty rare for an LC not to have paint on it's front end at some stage in it's life - these things are a proper magnet for stone chips!!! There were two versions of the paint code both slightly different depending on manufacturer, they also have a bit of flip in the colour - on an overcast day they look black - bright sunshine dark green and depending on angle of view they sometimes appear to have a lot of purple in the colour. So yes line a bunch of them up and they will often look different Oh and the other thing that makes it difficult to line them up is the rear suspension is air assisted and if you take a shot down the back side of a line up level with the spoiler/boot lid - it looks like a cobbled street as they are all different heights...... I know myself it took a lot of fiddling around to get the rear lights to 630mm on level ground with a full tank of fuel and the suspension pumped up.

What an incredible line up of LCs, nice to know that at least ONE of the press cars has survived with a loving home.

What an incredible line up of LCs, nice to know that at least ONE of the press cars has survived with a loving home. All the press cars were Vauxhall Owned and Had H** RAH plates The current Vauxhall heritage car gets out and about but mine wasn't technically a press car and built because Lotus didn't have one and got a lot of requests for one. I'm hoping before the end of the year it goes to a different loving home because it is up for sale!!!

well curse word me I still own the bloody thing and I still failed to get a single car to RRG and had to hitch a lift with gewySo with SLK in paint shop - BMW in no suspension replaced yet and Monzadore well not even close to finished I realised I needed a car!!! So MOT time...... It's now back in use as the daily driver whilst the SLK gets painted - any pass is a result in my book One Advisory - be careful with it, try not to get it wet - they rust a lot Oh and I do hope the SLK is finished quickly - the LC as a sole form of transport - I could be walking a bit!!! In fairness it's never ever left me stranded but LOTUS - Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious

oh did they do the astra trick of using white primer on black top coat ? Take a stab in the dark and guess millenium falcon, hyperdrive Punch it chewy Yeah it's old, yeah it's a big 4 door saloon, it's got a Vauxhall badge but I can confirm it will surprise people - mainly because most non car people (or any under the age of 25) don't have a clue what is is or it's place in history...... Had a young lad say to me today "that looks a cool old car - what engine" 3.6 litre straight six "okay so cruiser" depends on how much of the 400 brake you want to use It took a while to sink in!!! You can never call an LC a sleeper but I guess in kinda is if you haven't got a clue what it is....
