I got quotes for a metro turbo without any mods, cheapest was £576 which was only about £175 more than what i payed for the standard 1.3L!
Will probably take it to see Mr Baldwin when ive got it all set up and run-in

Twice daily update No.1! (not relly I just came home for lunch! ) Got to the workshop at 10 and by 12 we had the engine out and my dad has been stripping off the engine mounts and bits we need to transfer over. Ive been working on the fuel system, ive found a nice spot to mount the pumps and have made up this quick fuel pump/filter bracket! One problem is I appear to have fitted the wrong timing gear backplate to the new engine as unknown to me, before this morning the mk1 metros had one with a engine mouning lug on the back. Il have to tale te timing gears off the new engine and swap the plate from the old one which might take an hour or so but it sould be good to go then! grille off, rad out dad helping out! (its his 50th birthday today too!) Operating crane and taking pictures at the same time = dodgey pictures! Out! Not too shabby, turned its 50,000th mile last week! The offending lugs, plate will need to be swapped! Pump and filter on new bracket!

Ive got a nice S2 RS turbo intercooler. Ive mounted it all but i am missing a few bits of hose to connect it up so i dicided to put the engine in and then fit up the intercooler/dump valve/bleed valve once i have the thing running.

I bet in the time its took me to make some toast this morning you've got this beast running and driving! Sterling effort as always! This is just one of the best Metro's on the scene, if not THE best! Reading over this thread again and seeing your work has actually inspired me to go crack on with something on my car today!
