I'm going to throw this shonky Pshop I just did into the mix...smoothed in bumpers and arch lips, deleted handle, lock, mudflaps, foglight, side repeater, and moulding. Matt black Cups with polished dish for something a bit different and suitable slammage. I may well have over-egged the euro pudding with all the tintage though. Just a thought, anyways.

This censoring lark is a joke. How did it manage to get 'Max Gobshite' from 'Max Masterbator' I've no idea - there doesn't appear to be anything in the filter for those. Masterbator isn't a swear word anyway. Incedentally, I am the person most likely to add a word (and usually a humourous alternative!) to it - I'm sorry, but I just prefer the board without expletives.

Just seen the pic. posted by Reanimation....... that's a photoshop job, but it doesn't detract from the fact that it's a kevved up heap of curse word that would be more at home in the pages of Max gobshite. Yeah it is modern but there is some good ideas in there, the wheels are tastelul and the bumpers look good and the skirts are discreet enough to nearly not notice. of course its a photoshop but can be made real. I wanted to find something without trawling google or photoshopping my own. I'd own one like that, W.O lexarse lights. But for that much show it would need a RWD conversion and Cossie engine or at least a 1.9 Turbo CVH. I have barked up the new tree here but without darrenW etc its the best i could do. reanimation says (pretending to be pog, pretending to be dp): Were about old retro stuff here forgotten modern classics or just old stuff, but i like to think we can take the challenge with newer stuff every so often, and be honest but friendly.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Well, I had to change the word used to get it to accept my post..... however, if you take the colloquial for masterbator, you'll get my drift, IYSWIM.

A set of wide 13s and a healthy slam and anything will look good...and the Fiesta isn't a bad shape to start with. A poorly designed bodykit and a huge exhaust can have the opposite effect. Let's hope this particular Fiesta can earn it's right to stay!

The only way it can do that is if it gains a tuned OHV / Kent-type lump with a wild cam, decent drop, early MkIII bumpers and deep-dish alloys.........
ISTR the Si had a Zetec lump. We don't want any of that modern Japanese rubbish in here ;-)

Hotwire, yes its a car only forum but its also a community of people, the odd non car post did surface and all of a sudden the fun Police stepped in,the posts would have died off naturally anyway........................................... Some of the suggestions for the Fiesta are excellent, amazing what can be acheived if people were a bit positive. The scene is growing big time which makes me question more the "line in the sand" belief. The line in the sand has been on constant movement for the last 30 odd years of the British customising scene. This scene is no different, its customising of the 21st century, in no time the MK3 will be retro in its own right, FACT! Some of us were spending our pocket money, in the 70s, on Hot Car, Custom Car, Street Rodder, Street Machine etc,etc yet now with the WWW its all there at our finger tips. Essentially not much has really changed, different eras, different ideas but the aim has always been the same, to enjoy. Thats what its all about isnt it? PS: Yes I had a good rant earlier, got it off my chest, feel better and take curse word all back.

But those posts don't die, they grow and grow and grow and eventually you have Volkszone. A forum that went from being a fantastic VW related forum to what it is to day.

You know you want to.... that would be more amusing than the current setup.
I still stand by my claim that a 'cooking' MkIII Fester isn't retro, though......

I can understand where you are coming from. I shall promise not to post anything non car related which is a bit of a curse word as I was going to start a thread on Horticulture

Y'know, I'm really proud of being part of the community here - it genuinely has to be the best car forum on t'internet. Whenever I tell people about it (and I do so with annoying regularity; check the number of people who came here from OCUK for instance ), I go on about how chilled, relaxed and open-minded it is. EVERYTHING HAS POTENTIAL. It actually shocks me when I see threads like this; when the normal forum helpfulness and kindness is thrown out of the window. If he'd posted a '95 Polo, there would be nothing but love with people clamouring for it to be Euro'd...But because it's not something which has been 'done' and exposed on the forum before, it is chastised. I say get it low, get it clean, get it on a set of nice rims, buy a 2.0 Zetec'd Mondeo for £50 and get it snorting through a quartet of bike carbs. *n

I still stand by my claim that a 'cooking' MkIII Fester isn't retro, though...... I've said it before and I'll keep saying it; retro is an attitude, not an age. As an aside, I had the 'pleasure' of a day in a new Fester on Friday...never have I felt so claustrophobic in a car. *n

'Cooking' Fiesta. Retro? Yes. Cool? Yes IMO but it'd have a bigger lump in and some choice rimmage, and a big can of waxoyl if it was mine.
