We get a buzz out of racing cars round and smashing them up, a bit like you must get a buzz from the hard work you put in to it? but if you go in to any ones yard and look half of the cars have no floors etc, its amazing what you can hide with duck tape and some paint. Like mk1 granny says if there soooo precious to you classic car boys why havnt one of you knocked it up and got welding a floor in etc?. I bet quite a few of you have got spares off the Banger boys before.

so taking 3 months to racestore a banger is a quick time? Well that's the thing - I have never heard of a banger taking that long to prep! The local garage that does this has a phenomenal turnover of capri's (!) this way. |

well there is the hednesford pre68 thats always a good meeting for classic cars and they have a display of restored classics. you get in for free (i think or u used to) too if u bring a classic to display! they let the restored classics do a lap of the track and there is a best turned out etc is a good day out.

i have been up to twigzys yard and he has some very rare cars but there soo far past restoration they have no floors this is the case with alot of the classics raced these days!the thing is banger drivers will see a cambridge westy etc etc in a feild barn on a drive layed up theyll go knock it up but i cant understand why if there soooo precious to you classic car boys why havnt one of you knocked it up and got welding a floor in etc? bangers aint all about wrecking every car to distingsion! do i know you then?? or did you take a mystery tour bus, apparently its very popular a trip to my yard, wish i was there so i could get some pics to post. Will be soon though. Maybe you guys should come to a meet and see just how rotteen some of these cars are, and on a different note banger drivers don't have a secret supply of classics, we get them from usual places like ebay, and magazines, therefor giving the opportunity for restorers to buy them aswell |

Think i might cannalbalize some of the austin 3 litre saloons i also have and cut the good floors out and restore the limo and add a few tricks to it. As for the bloke who reckons its not rare i got £50 says he can't show me at least four more still in existance! and if i get it done might just take it to Hendo pre 68 and show it in the classics parade!
