hello all, right now i have signed up, best i show peeps some of my vehicles! i have just brought this golf off e bay, bargain with a lot of the work already done. i have a rather rotten mark 1 which i will use as a doner then perhaps patch that one up if its worth it picked it up in my truck friday on my way home...   here she be  new inner and outer wings, bonnet, top mounts, polybushed rear axle, mk 2 gti stub axles plus a fair bit more. tomorrow if i have time before going back to work, i may empty it, do a couple of bits and bobs, and update this thread |

nope! my lodger is doing that. i think I'm going to put a 2.0 16v out of an old passat i have kicking about, i have broke the car so still have everything. i have an idea for a colour i want, but don't want to give much away...all i will say its a shade of green but not oak or lhasra....... ;D

Viper Green Metalic ? - Awesome colour, they'd see you coming! Manila green ? Oldskool, never seen this in real life, just a pic of an Audi 50 in this colour Capri Green ? - really think it would suit a mk1 golf I'll stop now. Is it a VAG colour?  |

right, a bit of progress! went to my friends place who is spraying it today, she has had the doors bonnet and tailgate for about a week or so, and the doors have been badly bodged before, but she was able to repair them and fill them satisfactorly, over 4 coats of paint, and one had been broken into and had a massive chunk of filler around the handle hole  anyway, the panels she has should be done by the end of the week, so the shell will go over there monday i reckon!! just need to put a rack on it friday so the wheels stay in a straight line, and start buying some more bits for it!!! couple of pics of the doors getting there.....  not a great pic, but may show some of the layers of paint on there!  |

the car is now in the sprayshop, i have the doors bonnet and tailgate all sprayed and waiting for the shell apparently there is a few bodges that have been covered up on the old girl though, so this has taken up a bit more time than anticipated.....  as you can see it seems to have been orginally black, but the doors etc have lots of layers of paint over them!!  laura (on the left) who is spraying the whole project stood next to my housemate paul..... i reccomend laura very highly for paintwork, once i get some good pics of the panels and reveal the final cover, you should see what standard (hopefully) to which she and her dad work to!   |
