Newbie here with my Toyota Soarer GZ20 that I've built for competing in D1 with. Is 1988 retro enough?? ;D Toyota Soarer GZ20 with a 1G-GTE 6 Cylinder 2.0L Twin Turbo engine Fully stripped, caged, lightweighted, fire system, FIA seats etc See's regular action in the www.d1gb.co.uk drift series & its quite a competitive car despite being old & home built all by myself. More info on the cars build & stuff at www.drift-demo.com

Awsome, saw this car at Japfest and spoke to you!
So cool to see somebody drifting something other than an S/R Body.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Awsome, saw this car at Japfest and spoke to you! So cool to see somebody drifting something other than an S/R Body. Did'nt realise you were KP30 man!!, I used to have one till a few months ago. Love your car by the way not seen it for real yet but I'm tempted to get another & stick/shoehorn/force my Soarer's 1G engine into one

Is this the Soarer that was on Ebay a few months ago? Very different now! It looks great. Is it heavy?
And could you fit a few more stickers on it? ;-)

Mmmmmm Soarer...... the good ol' 1G eh! They just don't die those things, any future developments in store for her? All the coolest drift cars are homebuilt, the big-budget tuner/shop backed cars don't do it for me as much.
Nice angle you've got happening in the pics, always chuffed to see a Toyota out there dealing to the Nissan's everyone else seems to run!

I absolutely love these old Soarers! How heavy does it feel to drive? You seem to be chucking it about a bit there!

This one was on Ebay back in December/January & no-one wanted it, 100k km's mint as a minty thing but needed a clutch badly other than it was a boggo standard super rare manual version.
