That is one sweet dub, love the colour...join the 'Undesirables' at gti international this year Agreed that every other country has better plates than us! I should hope its in the 'Undesirables' line-up at Inters this year - since drsplain is the man behind the concept ;D I don't know what it is about the Derby I love so much - don't get me wrong I like Mk1 Polos but as a compact saloon, the shape works so well

Many thanks for the nice words. I had forgotten that I posted this to be honest, so I am a bit late in replying. (Work has been far too hectic). I kind of agree about the classics too. I originally bought them for my 83 Polo Classic as a (very) cheap set of cool rims. I have another set of rims that were supposed to be 4x100 but are apparantly not! They are cool and would look freakin insane on there. I may still try and get them on somehow, when I have a few more pennies. I am trying to source a lowering kit after various snippets of advice (cheers DerbyDan). I may be able to blag a Spax kit as it happens... (work does have its advantages at times...) For now though, the ATS are GM spec 6x13 and I am currently still considering the tyre sizes! I was inspired by the ex All-Smiles brown Mk1 polo. It was running the exact same rims with 165/55/13. So will probably go for these... I was going to keep them silver too, rather than detail them. They wont be too 'sticky-outy' but I think they'll look OK! I had actually considered some kind of Gulf connection, not sure about orange wheels though! Bit too racer for me. I remember seeing a cool Gulf-liveried Notchback at Volksworld show a few years back which was pretty funky. All I need after all this is a bit of bodywork touching-up and a nice fat G40 powerplant! *sigh* And, yes, I am the force (or is that farce?) behind the Undesirables! I am looking forward to Inters and CARS. I would love to park up with you guys Dan... Cheers!

One of my fave Derbys of all time. In fact probably my fave! Prefer the OZ rims to the Fuchs it now rolls on. I was almost going to get a set. In fact damn! I still might... Hmmmm... Yes Steb, this is the one I wanted the chrome finger plates for. I managed to source a set on eBay.de too! ;D

Its gotta be the best squareback i've ever seen TBH. If the weather holds, i'll be going with a mate in his MK2 Polo to Alltypes - so might still see some of you lot there.

Stumbled upon these pics... (Robbed from the Dubcircle lads) Nice car, wheels don't give the rollerskate look that 7s and 8s do, and much more subtle. Shame he didnt do a run of the carbonfibre bits he made for it.

Thats the beastie. To think I actually had £100 in my pocket that day to buy those exact wheels from that car. He was getting shafted around by a supplier though (for an alternative set for the Polo) so ended up not letting me have them! Then he sold the car... and now its been written off apparantly... big shame. Was not too keen on the BMW interior though. Yes, they are subtly different, thats why I wanted them.

As for the undesirables, I have only got a few definites so far. At least 1 Mk 1 Passat though (2 - unless my mate sells his...), which is nice - not had one of those before. (Well, had a facelift one the first year) also a K70 may be turning up if its finished in time. Fingers crossed...

I'll try and gt some more piccies... its lowered 60mm and has 165-60-13 tyres. Getting the bump stop replaced soon.
I will be coming up to the show Sunday morning, with a mate in his Mk 1 Passat! Is it possible to park up with everyone else? What do I need to do?

Either ditch it in the car park then come and find the RR stand to get a car pass... or just tell the guy that is doing the traffic direction that you are on the RR stand ... he was just letting people through last year!
