	Hi all just signed up on here and thought I'd blast your senses with pics of my rides... Firstly my 1973 1300A Beetle, Juicey He used to be a plain old thing... Then I heard of a show called VWoodstock and he sprouted a few flowers... He came out of his first hibernation on Saturday... There are a few polite warnings... Lots of childhood memorabilia... And a claim to fame...being on Blue Peter last year... ;D

	The bug is almost 100% original. I bought it from an old man for the princely sum of £200 2 years ago as he wanted it go to a good home. He'd had it from new too The only things I have done so far are wheels/tyres, running boards stainless bumpers and taper tips, historic plates. When I got it the original owner had been taxing it every year. I did some investigating and found that it was registered in September 1973 but built in October 1972 so it was also Tax Exempt! Jammy or what?

	Looks ace, my Dad has a bay-window camper the same colour. I bought my brother that Empi sticker you have near the radio for his Bug, not sure if he ever stuck it on though.

	Well, I’m going to give you my honest opinion and say that although the beetle looks in absolutely beautiful condition, I think the stickers look like the work of an 11 year old who is fed exclusively on blue smarties and Pepsi Max. I much prefer your Golf which is super-classy and which would probably cause me to walk into a lamp-post/onto an abandoned garden rake, Beano comic-style, if I saw it coming down the street towards me with a smart lass in.

	Gotwood...check out the Luvvie Dubbies stand this weekend...the bug'll be there! Guz...hug...here's a quote from someone wise..." too often we lose sight of life's simple pleasures...." Just enjoy the fact that you have a bug to cherish. I have had the odd minger or two before I got to this one. This one still needs work....photos can be desceptive. Mr plums...thanks for your honesty! I have a mental age of 11, was reared on smarties and weaned on Pepsi Max! The whole idea of the two cars for me is that they are worlds apart and completely different rides/experiences. The bug, understandably, is the 'have a laugh at myself' side, novelty factor/tongue-in-cheek reflection of my insane SOH. Not meant to be taken completely seriously, but also reflecting that I do know how to look after and respect my bug maintainance and tlc wise. The Cabriolet just gives me a bloody good excuse to suffer from heavy right foot syndrome whenever I feel the need, and addresses the poser inside screaming to get out. So, now that's sorted out, thanks to everyone for their comments and I hope to see some of you at volksworld
