[glow=red,2,300]Hi Everyone,[/glow]
Here are some of my rides, past and present.
1965:- 1965 Vespa GS 160
My first, and still my favourite. Wish I still had it
1966:- My first car a 1963 Austin Mini Seven
Those magnesium Cosmic 5j wheels and Dunlop SP Sport Tyres, cost more than the original base car in 66!!
1970:- My next car a 1969 MG Midget 1275
The Ashley fastback hardtop was removable for Summer soft top use, but well handy in the Winter.
1976:- I always fancied a 'sit up and beg' Pop
Modified of course. Won best Econocustom at 77 Custom Car Show Manchester. Presented by Hot Car Magazine
1977:- My version of a so'cal lowrider. 57 Velox
The closest I could get to a 52 Chevy without Importing one. The whitewalls were stick on!
A few years in the wilderness followed, you know, all the usual suspects, Marriage- Mortgage- Kids-etc.
1993 Hooray!
Kids at Work, Wife at Work, I can spend some of "OUR!" money on silly things like having fun!
1966 Anglia 105e delux
And yes I still have this one in the garage.
All the period mods that could have been done in the 60's. Classic struts and disc brakes, 2000e gearbox, 1500 GT engine,Kent cam, Burton tuned, Twin Webbers,130 BHP(Sweet ). Bolt on Koni telescopic rear dampers, 3.8 Cortina GT diff, 5 and 1/2 j Revolutions, Motorola pushbutton(still tuned to radio Caroline ),Moto Lita leather steering wheel. I even managed to aquire a pair of Kumficar bucket seat covers, for the front seats. Just about all I wanted as a dream car in 1966.
And just so as the Wife doesn't miss out, she's got this to drive to work in.
MK1 Tin Corner 1500 Super
With 5 and 1/2 j Minilites,
She says the green Lotus stripe would look silly on a four door, and I totally agree.
P.S. I've also got this early bay camper which we use for adventures ie. Classic Le Mans, Goodwood festival, Run to the Sun,etc,
1973 VW Camper (Was Microbus once)
Lowered, EMPI wheels, new carbon fibre effect interior by Calypso Customs, with checker plate flooring, 3 way fridge, hob, sink, rock&roll double bed, Mains hookup, Toyota MR2 front seats, etc.
Recon 1641 with Webber, Alternator, 009 Dizzy, Bug Pack exhaust
I fink it's well tasty actually
Cheers and thanks for looking Tom.(Old version)
