Well heres the kitten - i do already have a post but ive decided to start a fresh. this one will be kept up to date with work in progress.
Current spec:-
Body: standard reliant kitten estate
Engine: 848cc with mildly ported head, fast road / rally cam, weber 32ICH carb, electronic ignition, luminition leads, lucas sport coil, facet fuel pump.
Suspension: AVO coilovers (adjustable spring seats and damping) with faulkner 180lb springs on the front and spax dampers on the rear.
Interior: re trimmed, 10" mountney steering wheel, alloy gear knob, 3 point harnesses, reliant scimitar SE6 seats, TIM digital tach.
Wheels: 10x6 cobra super slots.
Stereo: 2 pioneer 6x9s in a MDF sealed and ported box in the back, 2 sony 10cms in the front foot wells, Kenwood KDC - W45276 head unit.
lots of things planned... heres a few of them:
Spot lamps:
they are yet to arrive but should look the mutts.
New wheels and tyres:
yet to paint them all up, but by going back the the original rims i can lower it... alot without them rubbing. and they look oh so cool.
last but not least -
Engine:
this is a reliant 600cc bored out to 750cc, was built in 1975, test run in the car but never races on. spec is as follows:
polished and lightened rods and crank, race pistons, straped main bearings, remote oil filter and cooler, race cam, uprated oil pump / disi drive shaft, modded front plate to retain oil, uprated valve springs, core plug welded into the back of the head, toothed driven water pump (geared down to avoid cavitation) + much more. all bearings are in new condition, along with bores having never been raced on!
unfortunatly a full race 750 will put out 45hp lol, only 5more than a standard 850 but it is also imensely strong. i could build it as a 850, but have pretty much decided to supercharge it as a 750. so watch this space!
also to come:
- a good hitting with the stick!
- full flow manifold + exhaust
- perspex slightly tinted rear windows... with lotsa stickers
- amp on rear speakers
well there you have it, if youve read all that you probably want to lye down now! sorry about my waffling on!
will keep this updated as work goes on.
Nick
