I wasn't a fan of the way Rob had it, too many stickers and stuff. Any change you want to make to it will no doubt be cool, just don't put wires on it for gods sake ;D Go for some 4 or 5 spoke revolutions or something, or some compomotive MO's or the old 5 spokes.
No disrespect mate, but I reckon wires on a shuvvit will just get laughed at.
Oh, hello by the way

pretty defensive you are! I would calm down mate, you call Elmotheblueminis Metro ‘curse word’ but you get hot under the collar when someone criticises your idea! I too think that the shuv will look utter turd with the wires on but I look forward too seeing it with them anyway, as you may well be able to prove me wrong. I personally reckon that the shuv will end up in the scrapyard long before you get enough £££ together to buy some wires, or that you will accidentally stove in the rear 1/4 panels then lose all interest like you have with the 106.

no...i called mettys curse word..i wasnt singling out that paerticular one..i just said they're curse word...and how does a 1994 metty get on here anyway.its hardly retro is it. my pugs only 1 year older than that. and as for being all defensive..what do you expect youve done nothin but had pops at me ever since i joined mr plums along with others. i aint interested in taking it to shows, where bigheads like you are gonna go hahah wanka he's done that curse word..wires on a chevette. and no it wont end up in the scappie cos its off the road now...i took it for its last cruise last night and now its staying on the drive for awhile..the mots out tomoz and I'm not insured on it. this is going to be differant to the pug as I'm going to llok after this one..the pug is my first car,,,what do you expect? I'm a much better driver now since i curse word all the panels on it and havnt even had a major crash unlike most people i know my age. now if you can find me a picture of a chevette on wires that proves they look wibblepoo then ill glady look at it but until then all this is just makin me want to put them on more...also you don't even know me so how you can say persoanlly i think it'll end up in the scrappie cos of lost interest i don't know.

Alright alright man calm down Wigster. I hope you do complete your planned mods, whether these are wires or not, and I hope you keep us updated as to how you’re getting on with it, cos it is simply a cool car and whatever you do to it, short of driving it into a lamppost or putting an aerospace style fuel filler cap, w@nker lights & meccano spoiler on it, we will all be interested to see it. So chill out, don’t be so defensive and have a look through the site for inspiration.

Metro is retro -ish because it dates back to the early 80s...which is retro enough, and besides, the user has a mini as well ( i think ), so it's nice to see his other car too. If you've not got insurance should you really be driving it? And like Bo11ox said - Just chill!

Quite frankly, YES, you deserve a lecture, if not a big kick to the bo11ox.
These are the actions of a fool, and you deserve to get flamed to within an inch of your life for it.
Uninsured drivers spoil it for the rest of us. Why be such a moron, huh?

'94 metro is borderline retro because it is still the same shape as the original metro,.. same as a '91 mini can be considered retro. They are not slap bang in the middle of the retro world, but thats kind of the point of this whole scene is that it is very inviting to new ideas... which is why you will see in the main forum occasionally people putting up interesting Lupo's and modern Audis and all sorts of stuff like that. Might I just add as well that retro isn't an age thing it's an attitude thing. Which is why a 1995 Fiat Cinquecento has retro appeal but a 1995 Ford Mondeo doesn't. Of course the exception to this rule is the Mk3 Golf,... because I like them Now wind your necks in the lot of you.....

Hello Wigs, welcome to the forum I thought the 'vette was the coolest car ever when Racer86 had it and I'm keen to see how it progresses in your hands. You've got a great base to build upon there with the square cut lines of the body and perfect stance. Just don`t forget the history of this car and all the interest that it has generated. I can't think of another car that appealed to so many people. Keep us updated with your progress

Chill buddy It's just an opinion, worthless to everyone but the person who says it. Everyone is different, if we weren't, life would get boring really quickly.
I think a photoshopping is in order to see what it looks like with wires. I'm not a fan of wires on any car, but you could make it work, nothing is impossible mate

a quick blast round the block without insurance isnt too much of a problem solong as ure careful? i mean my kitten had a problem with a flat spot at about 4500rpm, which realy killed it so living in a rural area we where testing it around the lanes for a a couple of miles b4 changeing things ect. and that was with no tax, mot, or insurance but being sensible, and we have never seen n e 1 else on the road at the same time and it has saved me alot of money (how much is a day on the rollers...) and when we have just finished rebuilding a car we always take it around the block to check it over b4 blowing £50 on a failed MOT...
Wig - u do need to chill out. the car is cool - very cool, but at the end of the day waht other ppl thing means funk all - i drive a kitten which is a robin with a different front end and an extra wheel.. nuf said!
as for wires, are we talking gold wires like american style low riders? coz they arnt cheap (£1000? correct me if I'm wrong) but wud be cool with some bags - or are we tlking 50s british? coz they arnt cheap either! lol. someone photoshop this.....
and ppl shud leave wig alone abit lol, seems to be gettin a hard time.

yes nicky boi and thats exactly what it was. literally two 10/15 min drives around the block... on nice quiet roads just to test it out...you could hardly expect me to get a new ride and leave it on the drive for months without giving it a little test. that would be hard for anyone. also its not like ive jumped in revved it to curse word spun a dirty wheelspin out the drive and proceeded to redline everygear down the road. in all honesty i wudnt feel safe driving it fast and reckless anyway...its rather shaky, rattly and mentally low so i have been sticking to like the speed limits all the while...even had 3 people over take me already..look it may be stupid taking it out with no insurance yes but i coudnlt resist. but I'm not that stupid as to takin it out and driving like a bel end and getting my self pulled in it.or crashing into anything.

I'm glad you can justify driving without insurance - that's alright then isn't it, doesn't matter when you write someone else's car of...

thats alright then ... cars never drive down country lanes other than you.
Insurance is there for a reason, why should other people have to pay for it when people like you don't?

For goodness sake this is the most aggro thread I've seen on this forum for ages,.. If you want to have a fight about insurance take it to email. I AM NOT INTERESTED. Back to the equally controversial car this thread is suppose to be about. What sort of wires were you thinking Wigmeister? Blinging pimp style? or Old British style? I reckon small (13 or 14") pimp style could work, but it'd be costly.
