Rather than bore you with my stock-looking Sierras (still no progress yet I'm afraid!), I couldn't resist putting up a pic of my brother's latest project:- Sorry for the poor quality photo - only had my dog'n'bone to hand... Anyway, the car is a '60s Cooper which my Dad's boss used to race. The poor little thing had been sitting in a shed since 1970, when it was last raced - it's still got the race-series stickers on the rear quarters! It's a circuit-only car, absolutely stripped out and de-seamed. Sadly most of the mechanicals have been gone for quite some time, but no doubt a MAD A-series will be winging it's way in fairly soon. That's pretty much all I can remember...if you want to know more (or see his 2.0 Kadett C coupe and 2-door, soon to be RS2000-powered 100E) send an email to james@kadett.freeserve.co.uk and say "James, get your in gear and join Retro-Rides.com!!"

I've sent an email to your bro regarding the Mini, great find.
Is that a mazda 323 turbo in the background?

Sure is! Plus a couple of 6-series Beemers and a small Datsun (possibly a 100A). The pic was taken outside the barns where the Mini was hidden, so I don't know whether the other cars are "available" or not.....but I could try!

Tait Racing - I'm in South Suffolk (just outside Sudbury) - will have a word about the Mazda and let you know!
Slater - you're right! I'm trying to find out which motors we can get our hands on (they tend to get sold one at a time). I too missed out on the pinto'd Mk2 Escort - I think it was featured in a recent Classic Ford... The RS2000 was very, very rotten underneath (story of my life!) but James bagged the engine for his 100E.
Hands off the Triumph 2500 injection wagon though!

Hi JohnnySierra, Looking very cool! will be great when it's done! love the fact that it has some identifiable history, even down to the race series stickers, excellent! Nowt wrong with Sierras either they're supposed to handle pretty well, IRS! a guy down the road had a full race prepped one, MSA log book, plummed in extinguisher system, cage, external master switch, it was an 1800, but bet it went pretty well as it was totally stripped! I think he sold it in Retro Cars a few months ago, he's got a late XR4x4 now! Loads of petrol heads on my estate now I come to think of it, theres a guy with a couple of genuine M3 Evos aswell!
