Hi all, I was intending to put pics of the mini up for a little while now, I have finally pulled the proverbial finger out and got it done! Due to a fairly low res camera and the rubbish weather that day, my car actually looks pretty tidy! oh the power of illusion eh?! After a brief stint of sitting on the new cutting edge look that is scabby 12" steels on the front and less scabby 10" steels at the rear (you know it's cool Daz, it's only a matter of time before the look catches on ;D), I'm 'pleased' to say that due to a non paying ebayer, she's sitting back on the 13"s once more. You can just make out Daz's Cooper in the background, parked in front of my better half's car!

'bout time Chris! Looking sweet. I knew you would end up keeping the 13's. No pictures of your 'temporarily abandoned' lightweight T16 Maestro project or the lump of pig iron sitting in front of the garage then? Actually, it's really interesting to see how much more agressive your Mini looks, just by changing the wheels and fitting the arches. This transformation is much more pronounced on the Clubmans. Oh why have I sold the GT?!?! It's your fault, you didn't talk me out of it! Now get that engine bored out and fit some straight cuts ;-) Aaah, sweet and innocent looking.

I know it's frowned on by some in the Mini fraternity...but I love Minis on 13s!
Top marks fella!

Thanks for your positive comments chaps, I do like the look of clubmans on 13"s, but the ride is somewhat harsh to say the least! still, I don't care, they're staying now! Plenty of work to be done yet, got a lot of rust issues that need dealing with before winter arrives, I don't want it to have dissolved by the time next summer arrives!
Also need to cut and plate the rear arches to get a decent ride height without dragging the wheels on the arches, that should be fun!
Daz, are you taking the wizz out the fact I have not so much as looked in the garage let alone touched the Maestro for the last couple of decades?! fair comment I suppose! it will be done though, just as soon as I can work out a way not to be broke all the time, I will do it!
Anyway, I saw the biggest spider in there the other week, I didn't dare venture in again in case it tried to beat me to death with a yardbrush! it was like a tarrantula! (wuss).
Hmmmm, yes, straight cut drops at least, and a nice 1380 wouldn't go amiss!

Cheers Grahamini,
Nah, not a fan of sportspack arches either! fine on a sportspack I guess! the arches are going to be replaced at some point soon as they're not quite wide enough to clear the 7x13s at the rear, unless you employ the 70's hotrod look like I have! (not that there's anything wrong with 70's hotrods of course!)
Emzay,
Are you on the miniresource site by any chance? I did post some pics of my mini on there a while back! cheers for your comments!
I wanted a snapdragon clubman ever since I saw big Al's GT years ago, he ran the local Minispares shop in Stoke on Trent, and had an immaculate GT in yellow, 7x13s and group 5s, it was ace! not that I'm a copying git or anything! ;D

Ministrone, Funny you should say that, I was thinking along the same lines myself! was thinking of doing a black chequered roof in a scalextric clubby stylee! I reckon it would look alright In fact, a little like this! : Would probably get it noticed a little more than it already does! I did have to chop the front arches about unfortunately, I hated doing it mind! talk about nerve wracking!

oo you have to do the scalextric thing! The key is to get the size of the cheques right. Most mini owners get them way too big and make it look wibblepoo (don't use a crappy vinal kit as they don't reach to the edges)

Ooh noo! finally sold to my wheels to a local chap, who's going to fit them to Daz's old GT, so both of us are going to be pig sick when we see it around!
Got my 6x12 supalites on order, hopefully should be here by tuesday/wednesday, so new pics to follow.
I will drop another inch out of the ride height as the smaller wheels should let me get away with it, excellent!
