Well, I've added another one to the tribe (to add to the other three ) - this time a 1.5LS. 103K miles from new, full service history, second owner - bought from first owner in 1983, TAX till end of August, MoT till next March....£200 quid! Its even got a stainless exhaust and new tyres on the front. Now, as much as i'd like to make it look like this: I really wanna do this to it, as essentially it's gonna be a road legal track car: Whatever, as soon as my finals are over in a few weeks time (and i've stripped and scrapped the silver A reg 1.6GL that I was gonna use as a base), i'll be fitting my G60 turbo engine, SAAB intercooler, cable box and AP clutch, 285mm brakes, TAS coilovers, Safety Devices rollcage, rear beam with disc brakes......the list goes on ;D. Can't wait.

Already got a supplier for the front spoiler and arches sorted in Germany- busy saving for it at the mo by selling bits here and there and putting the money to one side. Gonna cost just over 3 hundred quid, dependant on the exchange rate. Got lots of pics of Golfs/Sciroccos/Polos with the kit from the Youngtimer Trophy, but no Jettas - anywhere! Should be different.

another Derby!! bit of a fetish going on there But its a Jetta I'm liking your plans VWDan - will certainly be something different & since you already have a stunner of a retro-euro looker it makes complete sense to build the racer to complement it I really fancy doing something similar to a MK1 Polo.

Mine might be for sale soon, let me know if you're interested, would have to go to a good (read VW nut) home Oh no - why sell your Polo How cool would it be to own an Inari Derby & Polo, unfortunately i'm rather pushing it owning two cars already whilst living with my parents And any replacement for the Honda would really have to be something capable of comfortable distance driving. Besides I'm sure your Polo is far too good to start making into a race replica - i'd have to keep it stock (or there abouts) I'm really loving that red Audi 50 - that looks totally 'rocking' ;D Anyone know what kind of engines & state of tune they run in them?

Oh no - why sell your Polo My g/f is looking for a more modern daily driver as she now has a job where she needs to use the car for work and though it's reliable it's not ideal for motorways. That said, it'll do 90mph...!

Right, exams over, finally managed to go and collect the car. Owner was a really nice bloke and even travelled from Ipswich to Peterborough to meet me and save me some of the journey from Blackburn. He'd brimmed the tank and even took a train home - top bloke although perhaps a bit anal - showed me a book with EVERY petrol fillup noted down, including date, amount, mileage etc etc! Every single reciept/MoT etc etc came with the car too. And he thinks i'm gonna restore it too.... Can you tell which one has been lowered.... Just spent the day stripping one of the other ones i've got as now surplus to requirements: Oh, go on then, I'll include a pic of the van that we use to lug stuff around in: Got a few more bits left to take off the car, then it's off to be weighed in - I'll post a pic of it when completely stripped. Already put my clear indicators on the front of the new silver one, dug out the 80's style rubber boot spoiler that's waiting to go on, Scirocco single wiper and all-red rear lights. Painted up a spare set of BMW BBS alloys I had (mat black) and got three cut slicks to put on - need to get another matching one too. More pics to come soon.

I'm confused, is this the one you are going to "Berg Cup"? I like the background, Jetta, Jetta, Passat, Polo

No, the one for the track treatment is in the background behind the red one - the stripped one was the one I was gonna use, but the cost of getting the bodywork up to scratch would have cost me a fortune, so i bought the 'X' reg one to use as a base instead as its in very good condition. I get confused sometimes too......
