cheers;D the reason it was cheap was the fact that it had ben broken into outside the old owners house. i just replced the locks and it were fine8-) gis and the aa sticker came from the owner before last. but i don't have a clue what gis is.. after a quick google i got "geographical infomation systems" but i know for a fact the 2 previous owners were bus drivers the 998 seems a sensible obtion aswell. ive heard about the indistuctability of them comapred, and the fact that tpft insurance was gunna be £550 with the value at £250 with footman james, so was happy about that robin

Absolute KWALITY that man! I too thought the days of cheap mini's were long gone! Nowadays you look on the dreaded bay and your looking at £monkey for a runner. Back when I went thru my "mini" phase the most I paid was £275 and that was for a rust and mildew snotter purely for the fact that it had a jack-knight box and a 1293cc.... the car only survived a few weeks but the grubby bits lived on in subsequent Min's. My favorite one I had started out as a std 1000 mayfair in red but quickly gained said engine and box plus wolfies and a fetching coat of matt black...before matt black was cool ...(complete with bubbly limo tint windows ) * and on the subject of the GIS thing... unlikely it stand for geographical information systems.... that was my final year degree specialism - it's not taught many places and there's precious few specialists who would adorn a mini in such a manner....

i mangaged 2 pick up a set of wolfies for 35 quiswith a decent set of tyres. i think its going to have a matt black bonnet aswell the gis was a quick google and was the first thing i came upon. www.cafepress.com/spatialholdings.8742270the plan is bare minimum to get through mot then just use it an abuse it ;D

I like it Yellow Minis and 10" wellers work so well and at a bargainous price too. I have the same interior as you, apart from the driver's seat and being surrounded by a cage, they used it in MGs and probably Allegros and Maxis as well.... Mmmmm, brushed nylon I have set of shortened suspension trumpets somewhere if you are interested, lowers it by 1.5" all round.

Stick with the 998, maybe put a 1275 head on it (after pocketing the block of course ) and it`ll fly My old 998 was still going strong when I took it out after 160k miles - come to think of it I don`t know why i swapped it for a 1275 ! Nice Min BTW ;D
