NickB and me are hoping to get a few of us to meet up at Stondon transport museum sometime soon. NickB says that theres a nice pub nearby were we could go for a lemonade after. Anyone interested? www.transportmuseum.co.uk/Stondon is near Henlow in Bedfordshire.

Any Saturday or Sunday in May is cool for me so name your day ImpJimbo! When we have a day I'll see if I can rustle up a few of the local reprobates (fear computers!)

Is this still going to take place, since I might be at Stondon on Sunday 22nd May, as there's a Midget & Sprite Club meet happening there

I shall round up the mid beds chapter of RR and hustle down there! The Five Bells pub in neighbouring Henlow has a large car par and is Retro-friendly for post museum pop!

Excellent! I think that we're aiming to be there at 11am, having taken the scenic route from London, in convoy with a Frogeye.
See you there!

Nick, So far, as far as I can make out the plan for the Midget & Sprite Club (MASC) crowd is to be there between 10 or 11 am. There is talk of us having a table booked for lunch in a nearby pub, but there should definately be plenty of time for me to meet up with the Retro-Rides crowd at the museum & also for a drink too Anyone else going to be there? - Sorry to hear that you can't make it ImpJimbo. My presence there is of course is provided that the Sprite is on good behaviour* - in the [fingers crossed] unlikely event that it's not [/fingers crossed], I'll post up here on Sat evening. * I need to fix the handbrake & investigate the whining diff on Saturday - my money is on the oil having made a bid for freedom through the halfshaft seals and into the brakes, so that will need to be sorted out. I've fixed this plenty of times before on a Moggy Minor (very common problem with rwd A-Series rear axles), so it shouldn't take long.

Should be a few cars coming down.... Other than you and I, who else is from this forum? Praying for good weather this weekend, as it's going to be my last chance to drive the Sprite until July......

My presence there is of course is provided that the Sprite is on good behaviour* * I need to fix the handbrake & investigate the whining diff Diff still whining but now has oil in it ;D Handbrake now works too - just needed adjusting (oil had escaped through the front of the diff, so need to sort that out properly another time) I'll be there from about 10 /11 onwards at the MASC (Midget & Sprite Club) area (apparently it will be signposted), until around 1pm, as one of the MASC organisers has booked a table for lunch in a nearby pub. Hope to see you at Stondon!
