Erm,.. I'll try and get this sorted for the new forum code, it's just not something I can do on this forum,.. the only people that can delete whole threads are mods .. If you PM a mod with a link to the thread you want deleted then they can do it for you Mods : me, rmad, DarrenW, iRocco

Erm,.. I'll try and get this sorted for the new forum code, it's just not something I can do on this forum,.. the only people that can delete whole threads are mods .. Please don't do that Reason - another forum I am on had a very knowledgable contributor throw his teddy in the corner over a coment made in what was meant to be humor but didn't translate He deleted all posts he made on the forum - a lot of very good stuff was lost and the threads look disjointed and make no sense - only occasionally where someone quoted the previous post does the information still remain - obviously he couldn't delete anyone elses posts without moderator priviliges. Post delete or edit should only be avaliable whilst there is no subsequent post - once someone else has posted you shouldn't be able to delete or edit you contribution. JM2pW and feel free to ignore

see what your saying bstardchild , I'm just thinking from a a space point of view. and, hell, I'm only a new boy so tell me to keep me snout out if ya like we can start 5-15 new threads a day, 5 of those will probably end that night, have no realy worth so to speak bu twill still sit there a) taking up expensive space and b) sitting there waiting be trawled past to find the thread you want. however, if mods are happy to consider deleting threads upon request - then teh mod can decide if it is of worth or not to the forum so thats probably a better idea.

No no users wont be able to delete their own threads on the new forum,.. they can just flag them for deletion easier... in fact anybody can flag any thread for deletion,.. it'll be up to the mods to do it.. or remove the flag.
