Not fussed what it is but (and it's quite a big but actually!) it must be something happy to do 70mph all day as I've got enough cars already for which that is a challenge! Especially in this wind...
Looking for something pre-1986ish. Budget is around £800 but quite happy to spend less. Merc W123 is my current fave option but I'm seriously open to all possibilities. Anyone got a Talbot Horizon diesel?!
Oh and please, do not use this thread as an opportunity to tell me how my mind must have somehow been corrupted by satan - I'm big enough to make my own mistakes now! ;D

Cool. That the gorgeous Ghia estate in your sig? That's quite a fleet!
Have been wondering about a conversion - mainly because I spotted an XJ40 in Ebay with a 2.7 litre Nissan diesel in it! You can almost hear the purists weeping...
So, a Skoda Estelle with a mid-mounted VAG V6 twin-turbo diesel then? Should be easy enough given the layout in Audis... (yeah, simple!)

Mk2 Carlton Diesel if you can find one. Extra added cool points due to the "power" bulge to fit the engine in

Sold apparently! Shame, would have been fine for the job, although I'd hope it's slightly more than 2cc!
