As of today I'm the proud owner of a 1973 160J SSS. It hasnt been on the road for 7 years but all that needs doing is paint then reassemble and put it back on the road once Ive checked all the brakes etc out. It don't look very good in the photos but the body is really straight which was the main reason I bought it Hopefully get it this weekend, though it wont be on the road for awhile, I'm gonna take my time and do it right

Theres still the odd one around in NZ, but they're not particularly common here either.
Will probably be a couple of months before I see much progress but after that will hopefully be all on.
Good thing about is its all there and you can see what your getting, I'm really confident theres no rust in the body, easily the best body ive seen

Just dragging up my old post thought Id show everyone what ive been up to. Well the car sat at its storage unit where I couldnt work on it until about August, then I hired a garage and since then its been keeping me busy. I decided Id get it on the road looking the way it did so I could drive around paint shops etc and get quotes. These were taken a few weeks ago, since then the only external change is ive had the windscreens properly fitted Heres one of the interior. Still a few things I havnt put back in it, but more than enough for a warrant so the rest can wait So I drove it down the road for the first time today, hopefully go for a warrant this week. Plan to have it lowered within the next couple of weeks, especially the front. I also have a pair of 240Z Bullet guard mirrors for it. Should be all finished well before Southern Festival of Speed in February (sans modified engine, staying stock till finances look better)

Glad you updated, hadn't seen this car before. Love it!
I suspect a lot of people here will like the fact you're on the road with it as it's currently looking.

Wicked!
Where did you find the Equips?

I bought them off trademe (NZ equivalent of ebay). Cost equivalent of about 150 pound including just about new tyres they're only temporary ones, I have a set of Weds Racing Forgs 14x6 front and 14x7 rear But the guards have a slight issue due to the amount of dish

But the guards have a slight issue due to the amount of dish You might get away with that with the right tyres! The angle of the axle is exagerrated by the jacking up isn't it?

Yeah its IRS so its not as bad as those photos suggest. However even the equips will be pretty close to rubbing once its lowered and the Racing Forgs are an inch wider and its all on the outside (strange offset) so without stretching a 165 or something which a tyre shop wouldnt do (though it would look very JDM) I wont have a chance
