right heres the beaut: as you probably seen in my other post. now i have decided as she already has lots of chrome, that i am going to make her "euro" as most mk2 escorts have the rally look and think that this will be something different altogether! anyone got any pics of a euro'ed mk2 escort (or mk1 for that matter) ooor, as anyone got any good ideas as to mod's that i can do to get her euro? apart from the pbvious decked, chromed, wide wheels, stuff ! ps what wheels you recomend for this kinda look?

ATS Classics ? ATS Cups ? Revolution RFX ? Take OFF all the chrome and external trim, slam it (obviously), roll cage, smooth it (locks etc) ... About as Euro as you`ll get

Checkered flag vinyl roof and a chequered stripe going up the bonnet and down the boot. About two inches wide. About 1/4 into the bonnet.
Then dropped onto a set of the Capri 2.8i wide pepperpots. These have to be polished all over though. I saw a set on a Euro MK1 Fiesta years ago and it looked great.
I's suggest Quarter bumpers as well

Arseholes.

I's suggest Quarter bumpers as well na, i was going to have a yinyl roof back on, but not chequered ;D i like the idea of the strip, sounds pretty cool, and imo the quater's arent as retro as a ful lenght chrome on, with the black trim on benmarina, them racks look lovely!!! nioce one for the links! supersport, metro locks are nearly (nearly) as bad as ford locks!) most can be opened with half a tennis ball (this comes from years of working down a scrpayard, not being a chav mind ;D)

For me the 'Euro' look is all about enhancing the already sharp and well proportioned appearance of a particular car - which is why cars like Opel Kadetts, Asconas, VW Mk1 Golfs, Old Audis are so popular, because they are pretty cars as standard - the MK2 Escorts deffinately fits into this bracket. The simple addition of some spangly deep dish wheels and a healthy dose of lowering is often all that is required. However some subtle stripes, chromework, additional small spoilers or trim can add to the overall effect. The ideal Euro looker is one which looks just so 'right' but it takes you some time to actually figure out what has been done. This Escort posted in another thread for me hits the spot

Love that 'mustard?!' coloured one from the other thread Without spending megabucks, got to keep the RS 4's, Revolutions, or Lotus steels with 175/50's like mine. Nice & low, maybe a roof rack would look OK if it was retro style... Full bumpers, no spoilers... Keep looking for ideas. Clear lenses?? Single wiper??

mr sigma, it had a vinyl roof on with when i brought it, but was rotton!
i was going either classics, or revo 5 spoke (in a really wierd colour) and a boot rack that was proper retro!
its also going for a respray aswell, when the new wings go on, and i was thinking the same colour as it is now, but a not silver, grey, maybe a tad darker
