I`ve got a couple of p/xs kicking around that I really ought to weigh in, but they are of possible moderate retro interest and to be honest are not particularily bad cars, just not worth me doing and trying to retail. A list is below, they are all available for their scrap value (roughly £65) or in the case of the Uno a little bit more as it has a good bit of MOT. Anyone interested should pm me for details and pics.
Renault 19 phase 1, 1991(J), 99,000 miles, no tax or test, needs steering rack, bit dented/scabby, base model in nightmare blue. Very good engine/box, seems solid, good interior, drives well apart from being a bit wandery, no clunks or bangs.
VW Polo Mk2 - 1983(A), No tax or test, no starter motor or battery, no idea what it might run like, Silver, pretty sound tidy looking body and good interior.
Fiat Uno 1.0 5-dr - 1993(K), MOT to Feb 2008, drives well, just had new clutch, needs starter motor but bumps off straight away, 64,000 miles, good body and interior, paint faded, (red of course) some wear was noted on the layshaft when the clutch was being fitted so gearbox may only have limited lifespan, but car drives ok at the moment.
Anyone interesting in giving these a chance please let me know.

Tell you what, sod it, £50 for the 19 or Polo, £75 for the Uno, but don't try and bid me any lower, the crusher would give me £180 today for all three. ;D ;D

The Polo breadvan will be quite neat when TLC'd a little as its a repectable silver colour. very nice Bargain prices there Vic, they should shift in no time.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Can I also reserve the breadvan till this evening somebody crashed into my mates polo gt and wrote it off a few days ago it'd be an ideal shell to stick everything in. I've emailed him but hes at work and won't answer till he gets home.

I`ll let you know if it falls through.
Just need someone to feel sorry for the 19 now. In a sane world it would be a bale by now but the f*cking thing is still alive and healthy, I just don't want to do it!

Thanks to rob the uno is now mine, or more correctly its my girlfriends. I'm just warming her over to fitting the cross spoke 100+ alloys i've got and stickin it on its hehe. Been cutting the paint back all afternoon its come up awesome. If anybody is thinking of buying anything off rob I thoroughly recommend him, his description of the car was perfect, hes a great guy and even did me a favour by delivering the car to my girlfriends. Cheers dude Matt

Thanks for that Matt, glad you`re happy with it and that something interesting is happening to the Uno. To return the compliment, Matt is a top bloke to deal with, turned up when he said he would and didn`t mess about!

This thread gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. Nice one vicsmith for offering them up, and well done for those that rescued them! ...feeling sorry for the Renner now. I can imagine in 10 years time me seeing one and saying "bloody hell I could have picked one of these up for fifty quite years ago!" I got no space or money though. And French cars confuse me.

Renner 19s are pretty good for racing. Too far to travel though. Press it!

I can get the car delivered to Hereford, yes. I will have to check with the guy I use as to how much that will be, he`s away at the minute but its worth waiting for him as he`s very reliable and reasonable on price.
